The Cornwall Public Library is fortunate to have a large number of dedicated, hard-working, enthusiastic volunteers who provide many valuable services to the library and our community.
In 2013, more than 150 library volunteers, Friends, Trustees, and Foundation members gave over 2,000 hours of their time to the library. Our tireless Friends raise money for library programs and services by sorting and selling used books in the Friends Book Store and running several large book sales throughout the year. Dedicated teen volunteers assist with summer programming, help maintain the children's collection, and are now working with the library to provide technology help to our community through our brand new Teen Tech Tutors monthly program. Library Trustees volunteer many hours to ensure that the library is providing the best possible service to our community. The Foundation ran a very successful (and inaugural) golf outing, raising much-needed funds for the library's planned noise mitigation project.
Throughout the year our volunteers help maintain our collection, work in the gardens, create the library scrapbook, run book discussion groups and programs, and so much more. Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers who give so much of themselves to the library.
