Once In A Weekend: A Closer Look At Our Special Events

Each year our staff works to make sure the festival is packed full of amazing things to see and do. Of course this means that some activities only happen once per day a  nd/or weekend...each not-to-be-missed special events! Some moments, like the Calling of the Clans, means arriving early to the festival. Saturday just after noon in Region 2 you can see representatives of all the Clans gathering together to perform this amazing ceremony. Just as touching is Sunday afternoon's Memorial Service, which take place as part of the festival's Closing Ceremonies. We pay tribute to amazing people lost in the previous year, each who have supported Niagara Celtic. Music plays a special role in many of our special events. You'll find roaming musicians and Massed Band Performances, sing-alongs and Seisiuns- where you bring your own instrument to join in! New this year are special showcases of musicians inside Clan Village, special moments you just can't miss!  Of course sometimes we don't plan the special moments on our grounds. Our festival is renowned for celebrating love- plenty of new relationships and eventually marriages started at Niagara Celtic! �� �� �� �� �� Pictured is one of two proposals from our festival in 2015- thanks to the wonderful couples for celebrating at our festival!
