October 2014

What a busy September we had! In the end it was all worth it, as we had a wonderful 14th festival. True, Saturday's weather wasn't very good which didn't help us, but that's another story (see below). Still, many with true Celtic blood paid no attention to the cold, and by evening the rain had gone. Just in time for our big party, the Ceilidh! It was a wonderful time with great music, food, drinks, entertainment and people. After the wild weather day it was very much needed by everyone on the grounds.

The next day the sun was shining bright, helping us to see one of the largest Sunday attendances ever. It was wonderful to see families and guests of all ages learning and having fun! Thanks so much to everyone who joined us this year, and we truly can't wait to show you what's in store for our big 15th celebration next September!

Niagara Celtic Heritage Festival
Enjoy a truly unique Halloween experience, blending American and Celtic traditions
Visitors are taken into a variety of haunted chambers, each with their own atmosphere and amazing tales of ghosts and spooks. Enjoy tales of old, which include hauntings from Ireland, Scotland and America, plus the origins of Halloween. Because the tales get scarier the further in on your tour, there are exit points for those who have seen enough. During your visit you can also build spooky crafts, perfect for little ones. Families can also join in the fun by arriving in costume. There will be activities for all ages, entirely indoors to keep you warm and safe from inclement weather. Don't miss your chance to see this season in a brand new way!

A Special Thanks to All of You
Our 14th Year was a Memorable One!
Thanks to everyone who joined us for our 14th Annual Niagara Celtic Heritage Festival. We had a record number of participants and volunteers who worked tirelessly to produce one of our best festivals yet, and we are forever grateful for the support of such wonderful people.

As many already know first-hand, Saturday's very cold and rainy day led to a smaller crowd than normal. Everyone on the grounds still pulled off a wonderful time, and we hope those who joined us had great fun! Unfortunately our ticket sales were down, and so our non-profit society is working towards our first fund-drive. Our hope is to maintain the quality of future festivals while continuing to make improvements.

Of course you don't have to wait for the official fund-drive to begin.  Consider donating now, or you can purchase souvenirs from our online store. All proceeds will go towards our 15th Heritage Festival in 2015. Thanks ahead of time for your support, both during our festival and now!
