August 2014

This year has gone by too quickly, but all our hard work is finally coming together beautifully. As we're busy prepping everything behind the scenes, we hope you, your friends and family are beginning to plan as well! If you haven't already, buy your pre-sale tickets now to save money and avoid the ticket lines. Local lodging is also still available, but hurry since any rooms let won't last long.

Most important, use our website as your guide to planning the weekend. On it you can find our grounds map, event schedule, lists of all performances, attractions, shopping and everything else you'll need to enjoy a perfect weekend celebrating Celtic heritage.

See you in 4 weeks!

What is a Ceilidh?
As the sun sets on Saturday, attractions and events all over the grounds wind down for the day. But the festival is still roaring on!

A Ceilidh is a Gaelic social gathering complete with music and dancing. Back when the festival first started, volunteers agreed such an event would be a wonderful highlight to the weekend. Our Ceilidh has now surpassed all expectations from those early days. Half concert/ half party, the night includes great food, drinks and live music, all while relaxing and spending time with loved ones. It's also a great time to make new friends! And if you're in the mood for a moonlit stroll, you can peruse parts of the Marketplace after hours.

This year's Ceilidh kicks off with rockers McCarthyizm, and is headlined by fair-goer favorite Glengarry Bhoys. You'll be dancing and singing along in no

time to fabulous Celtic Rock music. McMahon School of Irish Dance will arrive during the intermission, putting on a show-stopping performance as they always do. And the night isn't complete until you see Pyromancy take the stage. Their troupe's fire and light show is spectacular and not to be missed!

So make sure your plans include staying late this year; it's a concert experience like no other and you're invited!
