Audrey Update
A lot of people have asked me how Audrey is doing with her Lymphoma treatment. I am happy to say that her treatment is going very well. She is doing the Madison Wisconsin K-9 Lymphoma protocol and has completed 15 of her 18 Chemo treatments. She is being treated at Bay Area Veterinary Services who have been great. Since starting the maintenance phase of her treatment her lymph nodes have been normal and there are no signs of cancer in any of her organs. Audrey has had very few negative effects from the chemo, like vomiting or diarrhea. She has been her normal perky self throughout the treatments. We have even gone out and done normal stuff after her treatments acting as if nothing has happened. Audrey and I are continuing to train for the NW2 (Nose Work 2) title and are entered into a trial in November. We will be doing a road trip to San Pedro. We also going to continue to do our Circus Class with Francis Metcalf of Friends of the Family Dog Training. She continues to go to classes with me and assists me with private lessons, especially with dog reactive dogs. She is acting so normal that I forget that she has cancer. I am taking it a day at a time and keeping my fingers crossed that we will have many more days, weeks, months and more to come. I really appreciate all the reaching out and support that I have gotten from everyone. I hope that I can continue reporting good news. Thanks, Steve |
