Happy Thanksgiving

The Holidays are coming and it's time to get Fido ready for guests and celebrations.

It's not too late to brush up on your dog's manners and obedience.

Start working your dog daily so you can include him in your holiday celebrations. Run him through some daily obedience exercises such as sit, down, stay, place and practice with the doorbell and people coming in to your home.

It is also the time of year that a lot of dogs get sick from getting into holiday foods and candy, especially chocolate and alcohol.

Here's to you and your dog(s) having a great Thanksgiving.

Warmly,

Our 2nd Halloween Dog Walk was a great success and fun for all. Nine dogs showed up in costume and all had a great time walking through downtown Walnut Creek and Broadway Plaza to the amazement of the general public.

We put a lot of smiles on a lot of people, especially the children.

Nevada County Dog  Club - ORT (Odor Recognition Test) Saturday November 3rd
A Beagle Passes her first NASCW Odor Test

Audrey and I have been training with Andrew Ramsey of Ramsey K9 Services through the year and entered our first stage to competing for Nose Work Titles. We entered our first NACSW Odor Recognition Test in Grass Valley on Saturday November 3rd which was sponsored by the Nevada County Dog Club. I am proud to say that Audrey passed all three Odor Tests: Birch, Anise and Clove. She is now eligible to compete for NACSW (National Association of Canine Scent Work) titles.

On the same day Debbie Rundle with Bella (a current client of mine) also passed all three odor tests. Congratulations Debbie and Bella!
