IowaHousingSearch.org Social Service Provider Portal Webinar Trainings

The new IowaHousingSearch.org web site allows social

service providers to access details, not available to the general public, which will assist them in finding housing to best fit specific needs of their clients.

The Iowa Finance Authority has contracted with Socialserve.com to provide this valuable resource. The special populations portal includes:

Password-protected search to connect clients facing barriers to the housing they need.
Service providers can search by clients' housing needs and type to find suitable available units and property providers - specific search fields for criteria like affordability, proximity to public transit, building type and units that don't require credit or background checks.
Special needs listing services that identify landlords who have chosen to confidentially market units to service providers working to place clients.
A time-saving "saved search" feature sends emails when listings become available that match specific client needs.

The Iowa Finance Authority and Socialserve.com have scheduled training opportunities specifically for social service providers to obtain unique login credentials in order to more robustly search the new web site.

Attendance of one special populations training and a signed user agreement is required to access the portal. Please send completed user agreements to Socialserve.com prior to or after the training.
