The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) had a successful year of serving Iowans as well as positioning our agency to best serve our great state in the future.
We completed a comprehensive statewide housing study to identify the most critical housing needs over the next five years. Being armed with this data will be vital to assist our agency as well as local housing organizations in targeting resources to address the critical housing needs identified in the study.
Although IFA is a recognized state agency, it does not rely on public tax dollars to execute its mission. Instead, our continued success is heavily reliant on successful partnerships with organizations throughout the state. IFA built and strengthened thousands of these vital partnerships in FY13.
IFA has recently undertaken sizeable initiatives that will increase efficiencies, transparency and better serve Iowans. Although these have taken place after the close of FY13, their impacts are being realized now and are worth noting here:
- Assumed the administration of all former Iowa Agricultural Development Authority programs, by forming the new Iowa Agricultural Development Division within IFA.
- Launched the state's first and only free statewide rental locator: IowaHousingSearch.org, which is on pace to be one of the best in the country.
Please see IFA's complete FY13 performance report, housing study results, highlighted accomplishments and more here.
Thank you for your support of our mission and we look forward to working together to assist even more Iowans.
