Greetings!
What's Next? That is always a question we need to keep in the forefront of our minds. So often we think of it in terms of our businesses, work, finances, health, or families. Many of our Network 21 affiliated partners even have this as a theme for their weekend seminars. But have you ever considered the "Next" question for your charity work? In other words, "What is the next thing I should do to help others through my giving?"
Most of us in the US have just completed our income taxes so we have seen the statements from the charities we support detailing how much we have given in 2012. It could be a very exciting report for us or one in which we are a little disappointed in our support. What you may have done or not done in giving is really not the question; the question is, "What's Next?"

Network of Caring Builds New Partnership with Special Olympics in Australia
An Update from R.D. Saunders

Ian, Stuart, and Jo Abbott with Melissa Eustace
|
The Special Olympics Asia Pacific Games are coming to Australia next December ...thankfully Network of Caring is already there! Network of Caring Australia has been at the forefront of helping those with disabilities virtually since our beginning. But our support of the SO Asia-Pacific Games is the biggest commitment we have ever made to enable the disabled Down Under.
In the picture above, Network 21 County Manager Jo Abbott and Network of Caring Australia President Ian Abbott along with their son Stuart present the NOC check to athlete and Special Olympics spokesperson Melissa Eustace. The Special Olympics Dancers have always been powerful partners in Network 21 events in Australia: S.O. Dancers. But this is the first time NOC and Network 21 are powerful partners in a Special Olympics event.
Because of the generosity of so many of Network 21's IBOs in Australia, NOC was able to partner with Special Olympics at the $100,000 level. In addition to supporting a fantastic cause, NOCs gift will give great exposure to Network 21 and Amway as well as allowing key N21 leaders in Australia the privilege of awarding medals to winning athletes. Hear NOC's Ian Abbott and SO spokesperson Mel Eustace at the N21 Regional event in Canberra: Presentation
Thank you to all of our fantastic supporters in Australia. Your gifts have not only allowed us to bring a life changing experience to the disabled but have made it possible for us to put on display the heart of Network 21. Together, around the world, Network of Caring is making a difference!

Network of Caring Continues to Give The Handicapped "a Lift"
 | IBOs in South Africa Deliver a Wheelchair |
Being a poor person in an impoverished section of the world is difficult. Being disabled and poor is unimaginably difficult. Those facing both disability and poverty often discover that even the most basic aspects of human life, like moving across a room or visiting a next door neighbor are virtually impossible. But Network of Caring has now been able to give nearly 5000 of those shackled with with these challenges "a lift" in a new wheelchair.
In the picture above, we see Network 21 business partners in South Africa, Ken (not pictured) and Penny Annandale and their team members William and Cherisse Thompson who helped this dear lady out of a wheelbarrow and into her new wheelchair. As we speak, new wheelchairs are being unloaded from a ship in Odessa, Ukraine for delivery to 550 disabled people throughout the Kiev area. NOC Ukraine director, Tatiana Stoliarenko commented, "We are so excited to be able to help the many in our country who have no life because they are disabled."
The continual question given to Network of Caring team members is how do we do this? The answer is that everyone does what they can do at their level of income. If several people do just a little bit together we can do a lot. Additionally when people use their influence and connections, to raise interest and donations much more can happen. Last year Bob and Terry Andrews Team raised over $60,000 for wheelchairs. Amazing things can happen when leaders use their influence. This past winter, the Andrews' son, Matt raised the money for a container of wheelchairs with his business associates (outside of the Andrews organization) and led his own trip to Jamaica with his wife Lindsay.
 | Matt and Lindsay Andrews |
Several leaders in the N21 have committed to raising resources with their teams often with the goal of raising enough to fund an entire container of chairs. Others in the N21 world are working to help the disabled...even kids have been and continue to get involved.
 | Hilda, Kaitlyn, and Glenn Graff |
17 year old Kaitlyn Graff, granddaughter of Diamonds Glenn and Hilda Graff did her senior project on Free Wheelchair Mission. Not only did she get an A on her project but she wrote an article in her school newspaper about FWM and organized a Fun Run that raised over $2600 which equates to 37 wheelchairs. Amway was so impressed by Kaitlyn's efforts that she was nominated as a finalist to attend the We Day event, honoring young people who make a difference. Congrats to Kaitlyn and to her family who raised such a fine young lady. Kaitlyn has shown us all... if this is what a 17 year old girl could do what could each of do if we really tried!

Network of Caring India Set for June Launch

We are pleased to announce the launch of the newest country in the Network of Caring family: India. After years of working in India with the Karuna Sharan Orphans Home and Ambassador High School as well as sponsoring several Indian children through World Vision, Network of Caring will finally exist as an officially organized indigenous charity in the India.
Network of Caring CSO, R.D. Saunders will travel to India in June and appear at Network TwentyOne weekend seminars in Mumbai, Bangalore, and Delhi to officially announce the launch of NOC India. India's N21 leaders have consistently expressed a desire to add India to the list of countries where NOC has recognized as a charity in that country. This status enables NOC to raise funds, utilize banking, and provide receipts for donations. And having a presence inside the country allows us to do more for India than we ever could from the outside. NOC India joins Ukraine, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and North America as official NOC entities.

Thank you for always considering, "What's Next?" for those in need around the world. A lot of people think of themselves when they think of what's next...but because "others" was your first concern, together we are changing the world!
