Spiritual Reflection
The invitation to be encouraged, reflective and inspired by the resurrection of Jesus is not reserved for one day. We are invited to claim the gifts of resurrection every time we rise from our slumber. Imagine how your day might end if you begin by praying these questions: "What are my joys, hopes, dreams and gratitude? How will I live into them today? How will I express gratitude and revive my enthusiasm? What do I need to do to restore faltering relationships and notice any indifference I may bring to life? Is my spiritual life alive and is my heart driving my contributions? How do I notice, acknowledge, and feel your presence? How do I feed my hunger?"
So often our petitions to God are wrapped in desperation, requesting some immediate and urgent need that seems beyond our fixing. If a miracle doesn't occur, then many believe God does not hear us or love us; and if the miracle does occur then we will have some sense of gratitude and go on with our lives. If we only resource God when we need something, how is that building a relationship with God?
We are invited to co-create and be in communion with God-to create a relationship that shapes our lives in such a way that we claim the abundance God offers, grow in that offer, give from a place of gratitude and share all that we have received with those with whom we journey throughout our lives.
What are you growing in the soil of your soul? How do you nourish and nurture your relationship with God?
The transformation of resurrection is an ongoing experience for you every day. May you live as a disciple of unwavering love and a messenger of unlimited joy, knowing that through you the presence of God's love lives on and on and on. And, may your prayer be "Awaken Me!"

GRADUATION SUNDAY- JUNE 9th - Join MCC Tampa as we celebrate and honor everyone who has completed another year of learning or has graduated from a program. You are welcome to wear you cap and gown!
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY MEETING - JUNE 9th - There will be a Children's ministry meeting for parents, children and anyone interested in working in our children's ministry. Lunch will be provided for everyone at this meeting. Please plan to attend.
COMMUNION TRAINING OPPORTUNITY - Sunday, June 9th following worship
Do you have a desire to serve? Do you have the gift of prayer? Do you want to learn more about Communion? Would you like to learn how to support Communion as a holder or a server? If you have answered "yes' to any or all of these questions then this training is for you. No experience necessary. For more information please call the church office at 813-239-1951.
CONGREGATIONAL FORUM - Join your lay delegates on June 16 following worship for a meeting regarding general conference next month in Chicago. This is your opportunity to talk to your lay delegates as they are your voice and vote at the conference.
DRAG SHOW - SATURDAY, JUNE 15TH , 7:30PM
Join us for another fabulous Tiffani Middlesexx production, "Starry, Starry, Night". Admission is $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and one beverage are included with your admission. For more information or to purchase tickets call the church office at 813-239-1951.
DRAG SHOW VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - Starry, Starry Night is looking for volunteers for this year's annual drag show produced by Tiffani Middlesexx. The event will be on Saturday, June 15. We are in need of set-up crew, clean-up crew, decoration team, ushers and bus persons. If interested, please sign up after worship at the event table.
MINISTRY FAIR - June 23 after service
Each ministry will host a table full of information, fun and fellowship. These ministries want you to know what they're about in the life of this church, and they want you to join them at their tables and in ministry if you feel the "call." There will be food, fune and games. Most importantly, you will have the opportunity to meet members of each ministry team and talk to them about their call to the ministry and mission of MCC Tampa. Enjoy the fun and connect with MCC Tampa in ways that can only enrich you and others.
HAMBURGER MARY'S DRAG BINGO - To Benefit MCC Tampa, July 3rd - 7:30pm
Come join your hostess and caller Amy DeMilo as we raise some cash for a MCC Tampa. $10 gets you 3 bingo cards for all 10 games. $5 Texas-sized Margaritas! Please join us for this fun event at Hamburger Mary's 1600 E 7th Ave, 2nd Floor, Ybor City. As the beneficiary of this event we have to provide the prizes for the winners of each game. If you can donate a gift basket or some items that we may use to make up a basket that would be greatly appreciated! |

MONTHLY MEETINGS - The monthly board meetings have been moved to Tuesdays at 6:15pm. The workshop is now the 1st Tuesday of the month and the board meeting is the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Both meetings are open to the congregation.
ANNIVERSARY COOKBOOK SALE - These will make great gifts for family, friends, teachers, co-workers, etc.. Buy your cookbooks for just $5.00 each!!! Call the church office at 813-239-1951 to order yours today.
LIVING GREEN MINISTRY - MCC Tampa's recycling ministry has a new item to collect. The pop top tab from aluminum cans. We will donate them to the Shriners Hospital to help with children's medical needs. Remember we also collect all paper and light cardboard, ink & toner cartridges, cell phones (no chargers please) and aluminum cans. Thank you for helping keep our environment green and support MCC Tampa in the process.

DONATION DRIVE - We need your help to support two worship services at General Conference 2013. Please donate any shoes, any size and of any condition as well as full brimmed hats. June 9th is the last day for the donation drive.
TAMPA DOMESTIC PARTNERSHIP REGISTRY - Is open for business at the City Clerk's office at 315 E. Kennedy Boulevard, Tampa, FL. The fee is $30.00 (cash or check payable to the City of Tampa). A Driver's License or Class 1 ID is required for each person. Both partners must be present at the same time to register.
POP TOPS FOR SHRINERS HOSPITAL - MCC Tampa's recycling ministry is now collecting the pop top tabs from aluminum cans. We will donate them to the Shriners Hospital to help with children's medical needs.
TAKE THE TEST & LEARN YOUR STATUS! - When was your last HIV test? Has it been a while? If so, its not too late! Metro Wellness & Community Centers will be providing confidential HIV testing services at MCC Tampa. The next date is July 21st from 9:00am -10:00am. Test results provided within 20 minutes!
OUR FOOD PANTRY NEEDS YOUR HELP - Emergency food requests have increased. Please help us stock our food pantry. We need: peanut butter, jelly, any non-perishables with pop-top lids, rice, cereal, pasta, spaghetti sauce, shelf milk, tuna fish, Vienna sausages, etc... - anything that is non-perishable. You can drop of items at MCC Tampa at 408 E. Cayuga St, Tampa - office hours are Tues-Thurs 10:00-3:00. Thank you for all that you do.

Bring in newspapers (complete with slicks),cardboard, phone books, magazines, basically anything paper that tears. Aluminum cans (soda/beer), printer cartridges, cell phones (no chargers) and junk vehicles. Please recycle your plastic bottles at home at your curbside. LETS' KEEP IT GREEN!! and greener $$$$$$$$$

Recurring Credit Card Donations
We are now able to offer automatic debit withdraws for tithes and offerings. These forms are available on the table in the lobby. Once you have completed the form, the church office will process your information and you will receive a confirmation of when the first payment will be processed. You may choose what day of the month you would like the withdraw to occur and you may cancel recurring donations at any time; however, we ask that you notify us 10 days prior to the date of your next donations so that we can process your cancellation in a timely manner. If you have any questions concerning this process, please feel free to talk with a member of the Board of Directors or contact the church office.
The church office can also process one time donations from credit cards. If you would like to make a one time gift, please see the church office for the one time authorization form. Your gifts and offerings have a direct impact in the life of MCC Tampa and continue to make a difference in our church and our community. Thank You!
