Conquering the

Chaos

Spring 2014 Issue

Dear  ,

Spring reveals itself through many ways such as leaves turning green or warm breezes, but in my house, Spring was apparent through the action of my high school senior son when he ordered his tux for prom. Yep, that sealed it--Spring had arrived! Now, we're anticipating his graduation (with honors!) in one week, before he heads to Texas Tech in the Fall, which tells me Summer is almost here!

For Organized Chaos, Summer means that we're coming to the end of garage season. In Texas, the temperatures make it difficult to organize a garage in the summer months. Our rule of thumb is that we do not organize garages between May 31 and November 1, or if the temperature is above 90. The exception is if a garage is air conditioned, like the one shown here:

If this garage looks familiar, you may have seen it in our interview on Fox 4's Good Day! We are currently working on uploading the segment onto our YouTube channel, so look to see it there soon!

The segment was made possible by my speaking at the Collin County Home & Garden Show in February. During my seminar, some questions were asked about financial record retention and how to get rid of junk mail. If you would like to receive the information on how to handle either or both of these items, just email us and we'll be happy to honor your request.

If you haven't yet, check out our app. Available for both Apple and Google platforms, our app will keep yoconnected to all things Organized Chaos!

Are You Ergonomically Correct?

Important things to remember when sitting at your desk, whether at the company office or in your home office:
  • Your monitor should be at eye level.little-girl-laptop.jpg
  • When seated, your thighs should be parallel to the floor, and your calves should be perpendicular to the floor.
  • Whether you are using your keyboard or your mouse, your wrists should be flat.
