Hello Everyone:

Welcome to the June newsletter!

I see neighbors preparing for Summer, hanging  flower baskets out on the porch and situating  window boxes, filled with colorful pansies, azaleas, and the like.

Art by Rita Lloyd

There's been a feeding bonanza at the bird feeders in our front yard this past 10 days, as many dozens of hungry migratory birds flew in for a pit stop, before making their way north.  I will miss seeing the array of vibrant colors pass by the living room window!

Wishing you a great Memorial weekend and also a great start to the Summer!

Finding Solid Ground

Jupiter.
Symbol for Neptune
   Neptune
   Saturn

As mentioned in the January newsletter, during the first six months of this year, finishing in June, we are working with three planets in a T-square configuration, in mutable signs.  Two of the planets involved, Jupiter and Neptune, are very other worldly, especially, when in opposition to each other and in signs which are changeable by nature.
How might this influence us?
If we rely a lot on our inner guidance, it may seem that
insight into our future seems to be presently unavailable to us -  we can't get a clear picture or 'take' about what's next or what to invest our time and energy into.  We may feel reluctant to make plans too far in advance.

If we're very practical by nature, we may notice that the
ground beneath us doesn't feel quite as solid as what were used to, and that we don't have the usual
confidence in the value of long term planning.

What role does Saturn's play?

When Saturn in Sagittarius is added to the mix, by 'squaring' the Jupiter-Neptune opposition, how does this piece play out?

Saturn by nature, prefers to evaluate situations, and find an external 'standard' or 'authority recognized by the status quo, which can be validated and recognized as a solid.  The idea is that this type of approach will help us know what we're dealing with, determine the best approach, so as to arrive at a predictable and successful outcome.

However, by t
he very nature of this astrological combination,  we are being directed 'inward', to find
the answers to our life questions, by aligning with
divine guidance and trusting in our own innate wisdom.

This astrological combination is especially well suited to embarking on a journey which involves being more fully invested, in a hands on manner, in embracing our
emotional and spiritual work.  This is necessary to to see us through this time of accelerated soul growth.

There can also be a bit of an emotional 'flat' note with
this combination.  At one end of the spectrum, we may
notice a lack of motivation, enthusiasm, and inspiration, and at the other end of the spectrum, experience some sadness and depression.  We may feel that something integral to our well being and happiness, remains
elusive to us, or is missing altogether.

However we might experience the energies of this placement, it is best navigated by drawing upon our
patience, inner strength, and by applying an attitude
of  'steadiness of purpose' to all aspects of our lives.

A balancing combination

 Symbol for Pluto
In the month of June, Jupiter and Pluto are in positive 'trine' to each other.
This combination is excellent for working with self- empowerment tools, which contribute to our health /vitality, and emotional / mental equilibrium.

Mars - Chiron
Connection

In June and July, transiting Mars in Scorpio, and transiting Chiron in Pisces come together in a positive trine. This makes for powerful energy!

Both of these placements gravitate toward deep, emotional experience. This placement can facilitate the release of stuck energy, especially in the form of old patterns which no longer serve us.  Of course choosing specific 'modalities' which facilitate this process, can be an added assist.

This placement can also produce heat and inflammation in the body, if that's part of the healing process we need to go through.

If we've been working on some aspect of self-improvement or working at mastering a skill for awhile, and have reached a plateau, this combination can give us the drive and the push we need to breakthrough, and take us to the next level.

In June, when Mars is in a retrograde motion, the energy of this placement may feel more inwardly focused, but come July, when Mars goes into a direction motion, there's a subtle shift, which results in an outward flow.

PLEASE   NOTE:   All times given in PST

June 1 - 5 : The changeable energies of Sun-Venus in Gemini, dancing between Saturn and Neptune, are the dominant influences during the first five days of June.  Our moods can change like the wind, and we can feel spacey, flighty, moody, and impulsive. We may be disappointed when others don't jump on board with our ideas.

June 4:  New Moon in Gemini - there's a lot of energy around this New Moon, so be sure to check out Lunar Activity, below.

June 6:  A great connection between heart & mind make for intimate connections/communications with others, and a desire to reach out to, and to do, for others.
(Sun-Venus are conjunct in Gemini, exact at 2:30 pm; Cancer Moon trines Neptune (Pisces) at 4:45 pm & sextiles Jupiter (Virgo), at 9:00 pm)

June 7:  An energetic 'glitch' can take place temporarily around lunch time, whereby we may feel challenged by outer demands, leading to feeling out of sorts. However, a balancing and energizing influence comes forth in the early evening. Be aware of a tendency to 'project' emotions onto others in the evening.
(Cancer Moon squares Uranus (Aries) at 12:15 pm; Moon sextiles Mercury (Taurus) at 12:45 pm and trines Mars (Scorpio) at 5:15 pm)

June 9:  We may be challenged in general communications, morning commute traffic, and technical applications this morning. Unconscious emotional behaviors and angry outbursts can take place, not making relationship interactions easy. While some balancing influences come into place around lunchtime and early evening, we're not all the way finished with the emotional influences or communication glitches.
(Mercury (Taurus) opposes Mars (Scorpio), exact at 10:00 am; Leo Moon sextiles Sun and Venus (Gemini) and trines Uranus (Aries), at 6:30 pm; Moon squares Mars (Scorpio) at 10:45 pm and squares Mercury (Taurus) at Midnight)

June 11:  Ungrounded, challenging emotional influences in place early this morning, may contribute to a low mood and/or feeling tired.  Best to give ourselves a little extra time to meet the day.  The late morning ushers in an expansive and uplifting influence, and in the late afternoon, there's a solid, grounded influence helping us tackle the to-do list.
(A T-square configuration comes together involving Moon in Virgo, opposite Neptune (Pisces) and Saturn (Sagittarius) - 5:30 - 7:15 am; Moon conjuncts Jupiter at 11:30 am and trines Pluto (Capricorn) at 3:15 pm)

June 12:  An overall good day for touching on and expressing creative ideas.  The early evening brings in a good  communication/ connection/collaborative influence.
(Virgo Moon sextiles Mars (Scorpio) at 7:45 am; Venus (Gemini) sextiles Uranus (Aries), exact at 8:15 am; Mercury enters Gemini at 4:30 pm and Libra Moon trines Mercury at 5:45 pm)

June 14:  An early morning placement can trigger a little emotional unrest, calling for time to process our feelings. There's also an early evening influence which carries impatience and restlessness. All comes into balance in the evening as our mind settles down.
(Libra Moon squares Pluto (at 3:30 am and opposes Uranus (Aries) at 5:30 pm. Moon trines Sun (Gemini) at 7:00 pm)

June 16:  An early morning influence calls for a little time for contemplation before we dive into our day.  A good overall day for insightful thinking.
(Scorpio Moon trines Neptune (Pisces) 6:45 am; Moon sextiles Jupiter (Virgo) at 1:15 pm and sextiles Pluto (Capricorn) at 4:00 pm)

June 17:  Another early morning influence which bodes well when we take the time to process our feelings.  This is crucial so that we don't project anger onto those around us.  An evening influence helps us re-visit specifics in our life which we've sought clarity about, but which may still be lingering in the 'unknown'.  This influence helps us with acceptance of what is.
(Scorpio Moon conjuncts Mars at 7:00 am; Saturn in Sagittarius squares Neptune in Pisces, exact at 8:30 pm)

June 18:  Energies can feel a little scattered today.  We may need time away from the present, and from others, so that we can roam in our imagination, with no particular destination in mindThis is part of the energies building for the Sagittarius Full Moon on Monday.
(Sagittarius moon opposes Mercury (Gemini) at 11:45 am.  Moon conjuncts Saturn at 6:00 pm and squares Neptune (Pisces) at 6:15 pm)

June 19:  Crisp, clear, energizing influence in early evening brings us into present time.
(Sagittarius Moon trines Uranus in Aries, at 5:15 pm)

June 20:  Full Moon in Sagittarius.  There is lots of energy around this Full Moon, so please check out 'Lunar activity'

June 21:  Late morning expansive influence brings forth good ideas, and is followed by a productive and strategic influence around lunch time.
(Capricorn Moon trines Jupiter (Virgo) 11:00 am, and conjuncts Pluto, 12:15 pm)

June 22:  Scattered mental energies late afternoon, can attract us to anything but the present moment.
(Mercury in Gemini squares Jupiter in Virgo, exact at 4:00 pm)

June 23:  Creative mental energies is very good for late night techies. (Moon in Aquarius trines Mercury in Gemini, at 11:00 pm)

June 24:  An early morning influence can momentarily create a feeling of being 'put upon', but just as quickly, there's an energetic shift, which helps us see the way forward.
(Aquarius Moon squares Mars in Scorpio, at 7:30 am and sextiles Uranus (Aries), at 8:45 am)

June 25:  Emotionally sensitive, dreamy influences abound today.  Avoid being around those, who would burst your bubble.
(Pisces Moon trines Venus in Cancer, at 1:00 pm; Moon squares Saturn (Sagittarius), at 4:00 pm; Moon conjuncts Neptune, at 5:00 pm)

June 26:  Fabulous influences are good for clarity, precision, and focused intention. Be mindful of not over expanding the scope of the ideas you are bringing into focus.
(Jupiter in Virgo trines Pluto in Capricorn, exact at 5:15 am;  Pisces moon trines Mars in Scorpio, at 12:15 pm; Moon squares Mercury (Gemini) at 1:00 pm; Mercury in Gemini sextiles Uranus in Aries, exact at 7:30 pm)

June 27:  Psychically sensitive early morning influence make for a good connection with the heart energies.  If you have to dive into a busy Monday schedule, you might want to rise early, just so you can 'be' with this softer energy before embarking on your day.  An evening influence is good for checking in with what we would like to  accomplish this week.
(Venus in Cancer trines Neptune in Pisces at 7:00 am; Aries Moon trines Saturn in Sagittarius, at 7:45 pm)

June 28:  We could experience a 'head strong' influence early this morning, whereby we force an issue.  Late afternoon influence lends itself to being physically active and generally being on the go - best to avoid busy commuter routes.
(Aries Moon squares Pluto in Capricorn, at 4:15 am; Moon conjuncts Uranus, at 5:15 pm)

June 29:  We just might experience an energizing shift of energy this afternoon, when Mars goes direct.
(Mars in Scorpio moves into a direct motion at 4:45 pm)

June 30:  The early morning ushers in an expansive, energizing influence.  Influences in the evening however, can trigger fear based thinking, and concerns about finances and security, indicating this is not a good time to discuss same with partners and other family members.
(Taurus Moon comes in a positive Grand Trine configuration, when it trines Pluto (Capricorn) and Jupiter (Virgo), 6:00 - 7:30 am.  Moon opposes Mars (Scorpio) at 5:15 pm.  Venus (Cancer) opposes Pluto (Capricorn), exact at 8:30 pm)

Lunar Activity

June 4:        New Moon         14 deg. Gemini         7:59 pm

There is a lot of planetary activity around this New Moon, which strongly influences the general 'flavor' of the New Moon energies.  Most of the planets involved are in 'mutable' signs, which means being very changeable, unpredictable and a little ungrounded.

June 2:  Venus squares Neptune and the Sun opposes Saturn - this can indicate concern over finances and general issues related to security.  Self-esteem issues and pressure on relationships can be triggered.

June 3:  Venus opposes Saturn - same activity as above

June 4:  Venus square Jupiter can be experienced in a variety of ways.  As a way of releasing the tension around the above influences, we may find ourselves 'binging' on whatever we reach for when we want to feel good.  We may over indulge, over spend, or give too much of ourselves to others.

So with all of the activity going on around this New Moon, should we notice our emotions tending to go all over the map, it is wise to find a reliable and steady 'reference' point, which will bring us back to our center.  The other piece, is about not making any important decisions until the New moon energies are over.

June 20:         Full Moon      29 deg. Sagittarius      4:02 am

The mental influences which surround the flavor of the Full Moon, taking place on the Summer Solstice, are scattered, changeable and unpredictable.  We will likely feel the fluctuating energies building from  June 19th, and they can last through June 23rd!

Mercury in Gemini comes into a challenging T-square configuration, when it opposes Saturn (Sag) at 8:00 am and squares Neptune (Pisces) at 10:00 am.

This can feel a lot like Mercury in retrograde!  It has an 'on again, off again' type of erratic energy.  It is wise not to overact to communication / information coming to us, but rather become grounded and focused, which assists in evaluating the best way forward.

This is not a favorable influence for:

a)  airline travel which involves a connecting flight

b)  signing important agreements, which are legally and/or financially binding.

c) Making expensive purchases without checking the fine print.

d) Beginning a new project.

e) Giving presentations which involve relying on  technological applications.

f) making important decisions which you feel pressured to make because they are time sensitive
