Hello Everyone

Welcome to the August newsletter!

I don't know whether it's 'Astrologer' or the 'Trekkie' in me - but I'm excited to see the new photos of Pluto.

Astrologers seek to understand how the subtle energies of a planet influence the behaviors and experience of the individual.  So, even if Pluto
is considered to be a 'dwarf' planet now by the big guys at NASA - size doesn't matter to us!

In this month's newsletter, be sure to watch the brief interview with Lester Holt (NBC) and astrophysicist, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Director of the Hayden Planetarium in New York.

I've watched several interviews with this guy and love how passionate he is about about life within the Universe.

 The final 2 alignments

Jupiter & Venus

in 2015

It's always a good idea to know when these two planets sit side by side, in a conjunction with each other, for their carry a vibration of good fortune
and blessings.

1) Tuesday, August 4

The conjunction of  Jupiter and Venus, takes
place at 29 degrees of the sign of LEO.
This is a great aspect under which to give
our thanks and appreciation for all that
has contributed to our well being, open
ourselves up to abundance, and give generously.

2) Sunday, October 25

The conjunction of Jupiter and Venus, takes
place at 16 degrees of the sign of Virgo, which
is excellent for being involved in charitable
giving, such as delivering donations of
food and clothing to a local charity, or
participating in a hands-on in a program
which feeds others, such as  a soup kitchen.

Jupiter in Virgo

Aug 11, 2015  -  Sept 8, 2016

When Jupiter transits through the sign of Virgo , we are working with two different principles.  By nature, the
energies of the planet Jupiter are expansive, philosophical
and 'bigger picture' oriented, with a marked desire for
freedom and flexibility, over routine.  The nature of the
sign of Virgo, is detail oriented, values precision, accuracy, perfection, organization and favors routine.

The basic rule of thumb involves knowing when to apply either of these principles to the situation at hand.  Luckily, both the planet and the sign carry flexible tendencies.

Jupiter in the sign of Virgo is an excellent placement for
all aspects associated with self-improvement.

These are the areas of life influenced by Jupiter's transit through the mutable earth sign of Virgo:

1)  HEALTH CONSCIOUSNESS:
Jupiter in Virgo favors a 'holistic grass roots' approach to health and wellness.  It can support us in taking a renewed interest and vigorous approach to fully engage in that which
brings about improvement in all aspects of our health and fitness.

This transit is also favorable for obtaining education and training in a health or healing related modality, and/or beginning a health related business.  It's great for growing our own food, learning how to prepare medicinal and natural beauty products, and supporting our local farmer's market.

2) RENEWED INTEREST IN WORK AND OFFERING SERVICE
This transit can bring about better opportunities for work and an improved working environment, which can lead to more fulfillment.  From within ourselves, we may notice a more responsive attitude toward our work.

On another note, this transit very much aligns with all aspects of being of service to others.

3)  SHOWING OUR LOVE & SUPPORT FOR ANIMALS:
The sign of Virgo has a connection with animal welfare, so for the animal lovers out there, this is a great transit for stepping up to become more hands-on involved in your love and support for animals.

4) ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY:
This transit is well suited to becoming more knowledgeable and hands-on involved in all aspects of environmentally related issues and sustainability.

5)  IMPROVING OUR ART AND CRAFT SKILLS
If you love to work with your hands to create fun projects around the house, or like to make jewelry or whatever, and sell it on Etsy or E-BAY, this transit very much supports the   cottage industries approach.

6) ORGANIZING, CLEANING AND CLEARING our LIVING AND WORKING SPACE(S)
With busy lifestyles and a tendency toward consumerism, it's easy to become bogged down in clutter, and lack the time and/ or enthusiasm to get our personal spaces de-cluttered, and organized...but this transit can help spark a new  determination!

I hope you enjoy this transit of Jupiter in Virgo!

Miles on the Move

Organization

I've always been inspired by my client, Pam Blackburn, and her husband, Ron.  After having two children of their own, they adopted three 'special needs' children.

Pam and Ron have such a positive attitude and commitment toward making a difference in the
lives of others in special needs community in Phoenix, Arizona.

I am so excited they have launched a non-profit organization named Miles on the Move.

I'll let Pam tell you the rest!

Hello and welcome. I'm Pam Blackburn, founder of Miles On The Move. Along with my husband, Ron Jackson, we have

five children, three who happen to have special needs. We started this organization because we know many people who are runners, hikers and bicyclist, but we also are big motorcycle enthusiasts. My husband has been involved in racing dirt bikes, operating an off road dirt bike rental company, and also personally enjoys dual sport adventures.

Because of our children we are also involved in the "disability" community and understand that many families who have children and adult children with special needs often feel very isolated.

I had the idea that if we could get people who live their passion for motorcycling, running, hiking, biking or whatever "moves" them, to form a partnership with a buddy who is unable to, for whatever reason, we could bring purpose to their passion. And so the dream of Miles On The Move

began.

MILES ON THE MOVE is a nonprofit created to build connections between people that would otherwise not know each other, standing side by side with a family or individual who often goes unnoticed or overly-noticed. It's about support, building relationships, fostering acceptance and understanding and raising awareness, one mile and one person at a time. It's about bridging the gap between passion and purpose.

July 31:  Full Moon in Aquarius.  See 'Lunar Activity'

Aug 1:
Not the most favorable social aspects around lunch time and into mid afternoon.  Saturn goes direct in late evening hours.

(Aquarius Moon opposes Venus (Leo) and squares Saturn in Scorpio: 12:45 - 3:00 pm)

Aug 2:  Subtle early morning influences lend themselves to touching base with ourselves, through quiet introspection, flowing with our imagination, and allowing great ideas to come to the surface and knock our socks off.

(Moon-Neptune conjunction in Pisces, at 6:30 am, followed by Uranus (Aries) trine to Mercury (Leo), exact at 7:45 am)

Aug 3:  Building some flexibility into our schedule this morning and working by ourselves through the morning hours, (without distractions), would yield the best results.

(Jupiter (Leo) squares Saturn (Scorpio), exact at 3:34 am; Pisces Moon is in a favorable Grand Trine with Mars (Cancer) and Saturn (Scorpio) - 10:45 am - 1:45 pm).

Aug 4:  Second of the three Jupiter-Venus conjunctions in 2015 takes place today.  Because Venus is 'retrograde' in this conjunction and because Venus is building toward a square with Saturn, tomorrow), we'll likely experience this conjunction in a more subtle manner, as it mirrors our deeper feelings about ourselves and any unhappiness we are experiencing in the context of personal relationships.   Mid-afternoon influence can temporarily challenge our mood.

(Jupiter in Leo conjuncts Venus, exact at 2:45 pm; Aries Moon squares Pluto (Capricorn), exact at 2:50 pm)

Aug 5:  There's a potpourri of influences today, starting with an early morning energizing aspect, which gets us out of bed earlier than usual.  Being especially aware of the need for self-nurturing today is important, as our heart space may feel  restricted.  On a more practical note, this is not a good day to enter into legally binding financial agreements or apply for a loan.  Emotional frustration can be evident around mid afternoon, but there are uplifting influences to help clear the air, as we head into later afternoon.

(Uranus-Moon conjunction in Aries, takes place at 2:30 am; Venus (Leo) squares Saturn (Scorpio), can be felt for much of the day, but is exact at 8:00 am;  Aries Moon trines Mercury, exact at 12:30 pm, but squares Mars (Cancer), at 3:00 pm.  Moon trines Venus-Jupiter conjunction, exact at 3:15 - 4:30 pm)

Aug 6:  The day begins on a mentally uplifting note, but the early afternoon ushers in a challenging combination, which can create frustration in communication with others.  How to keep  our momentum up and stay on track, stay positive in our thinking, and ward off frustration with the task at hand, is our  mission.

(Sagittarius Moon trines Sun (Leo) at 3:30 am and trines Uranus (Aries) at 8:00 am; Mercury (Leo) squares Saturn (Scorpio), exact at 1:15 pm)

Aug 7:  Not the most supportive influences for social activity this evening.

(Taurus Moon opposes Saturn (Scorpio) and squares Venus (Leo), 5:30 - 8:00 pm).

Aug 9:  A great day for catching up on reading and/or connecting with others.

(Moon in Gemini makes good connections all day)

Aug 11:  Jupiter enters Virgo.
An early morning and early evening influence can temporarily rattle our emotions.

(Cancer Moon opposes Pluto (Capricorn), exact at 6:15 am, and Moon squares Uranus (Aries), exact at 7:30 pm)

Aug 12:  A mid-morning influence helps stabilize the emotions.  An early evening influence challenge our capacity for mental focus, but is great is we can give ourselves permission to putter around in mindless activities.
(Cancer Moon trines Saturn (Scorpio), exact at 10:45 am; Mercury (Virgo opposes Neptune (Pisces), exact at 6:15 pm)

Aug 13:  The day starts of with an excellent influence for 'clearing' the energies and setting us on track with fresh energy and enthusiasm.

(Sun in Leo trines Uranus in Aries, exact at 3:30 am)

Aug 14:  New Moon in Leo.  See 'Lunar Activity'

Aug 15:  A great mix today of fun, social aspects and productive, focused energy.

(Leo Moon conjuncts Jupiter at 2:30 am; Sun conjuncts Venus in Leo, exact at 12:15 pm; Mercury (Virgo) trines Pluto (Capricorn), exact at 1:00 pm)

Aug 19:  While the day begins on a somewhat hurried note, great Venus aspects follow, which are creative, energizing, stimulating and bold.

(Libra Moon opposes Uranus (Aries), exact at 6:45 am; Moon sextiles Venus in Leo, at 6:45 am; Venus trines Uranus (Aries), exact at 9:45 am).

Aug 20:  The evening lends itself to quiet and relaxing time to regenerate.

(Scorpio Moon trines Neptune (Pisces), exact at 8:00 pm)

Aug 21:  Energies become emotionally 'heavy' in the late afternoon, calling for alone time, with a focus on self-nurturing.

(Scorpio Moon squares Venus (Leo), at 4:15 pml Sun (Leo) squares Saturn (Scorpio), exact at 4:45 pm)

Aug 22:  We're still in the realm of Saturn's influence during the morning hours. Best not to create a big 'to do' list for the afternoon, as energies can feel a little 'scattered'.

(Moon in Scorpio conjuncts Saturn, exact at 11:00 am; Moon moves into Sagittarius in the early PM).

Aug 23:  While the day begins with a 'spacy' influence, this quickly shifts.  A more proactive, energizing, action oriented aspect gets us out and moving.
(Sagittarius Moon squares Neptune (Pisces), exact at 6:00 am; Moon trines Mars (Leo), exact at 7:30 am)

Aug 24:  An upbeat, energizing influence comes into play first thing this morning.  Late afternoon, we need to come up for air, break our focus for a while, before we re-group.
(Sagittarius Moon trines Uranus (Aries), exact at 3:30 am; Moon squares Mercury (Virgo), exact at 3:00 pm)

Aug 26:
We don't do well with last minute changes to our schedule this morning, for there's a desire to focus intently on the activity at hand.  Energies become creative, expansive and philosophical in the afternoon - the spirit calling for us to pursue fun, freedom oriented activities.
(Capricorn Moon squares Uranus (Capricorn), exact at 8:30 am; Mercury (Virgo) sextiles Saturn (Scorpio), exact at 9:00 am; Sun conjuncts Jupiter in Leo, exact at 3:00 pm)

Aug 27-28:  Techies take note: energies this evening and the evening of the 28th, are not conductive to performing detailed work on computers.
Aug 29:  Full Moon in Pisces.  See 'lunar activity'.

Aug 31:  A potpourri of influences take place today, and get wilder in the evening hours.  Whatever we attempt to 'push', as our agenda, doesn't necessarily yield good results.  Best to stay away from late night internet purchases and/or searches.  Hard to know if we're coming or going.
(Pisces Moon opposes Mercury (Virgo), at 9:00 am; Virgo Sun opposes Neptune (exact at 8:30 pm; Venus conjuncts Mars in Leo, exact at 10:00 pm; Moon squares Pluto (Capricorn), exact at
10:30 pm)

Lunar Activity

July 31    Full Moon     7 deg. Aquarius       3:43 am   PST
Because Aquarius, an 'air' sign, is comfortable in the mental realm,   and affords some detachment, we usually don't feel as much 'emotional' activity, as with other signs.  However, we can feel 'wired' - as though we've had too much caffeine.

Aquarius always helps us see the bigger picture with dispassion,  clarity, and stand in integrity with what is current in our experience.

Aug 14    New Moon     21 deg. of Leo          7:53 am   PST
The positive energies of this New Moon are especially good for re-energizing and re-focusing our commitment to expressing our passion.

Aug 29    Full Moon     6 deg. of Pisces         11:35 am   PST
A Full Moon in Pisces always slows things down for us and leads us temporarily into 'other worldly' realms. This Full Moon is especially that way, in that the Moon also conjuncts its ruler, Neptune, in mid-afternoon (3:15 pm).

The best way to work with these energies is to slow down our activity in the outer world, and rest in the flow of the Universal energies within us and around us.  The challenge of trying to remain very engaged and active, is that it's truly hard to be all the way in our bodies, so if we push the envelope, we're can get physically and emotionally exhausted.

Wishing you and your family a fabulous rest of
Summer!

with love,
Margaret
