Hello Everyone

Welcome to the April newsletter!

I hope you are managing to maneuver your way through the Uranus-Pluto influences, which have been so strong these last several months.

I have been amazed by how much spiritual energy is available to us all, to help soften the intensity of these aspects.  If ever we think we're doing this life journey alone, it couldn't be further from the truth!

I am looking forward to getting on the road this month and heading down to Tucson, where I will be offering in-person readings.  I am so looking forward to this!

Wishing you all a Happy Easter and Passover!

Mars in Taurus

March 31 - May 10

As noted in earlier newsletters, the first four months of this year have had lots of shifting energies, making it more difficult than usual to keep up with the details of our lives, while also having that in place, which truly nurtures and energizes us.

Mars transiting the sign of Taurus, can help slow things down to a more reasonable pace, and allow us to feel the ground firmly beneath our feet!  The energies of this placement are all about being patient and persistent, while also savoring the experience of that which is pleasurable and enjoyable.

How this combination truly comes to life, is when we're involved in a hands-on building project, in nature.  This could be as simple as fixing a broken bird feeder, building a fence, a water feature, putting in an organic garden.

At the very least, it might be fun to visit a farmer's market, pick out some plants at a local nursery, or just be in nature!

Questions

I would like to share this recent email question from a client.

When you read my chart at the beginning of the year, you noted that Uranus would move on from personally influencing my chart in March, but I am still at the mercy of sudden surprises and stressful experiences.  Why is this?

Uranus and Pluto remain in close proximity to each other through May of 2015.  When another planet or planetary occurrence, such as a Full Moon or Eclipse is positioned at 12 - 18 degrees of the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn), it will automatically come into an 'aspect' with transiting Uranus and Pluto.  Depending on the nature of the planet making the connection, and whether it is influencing our chart directly, the rapid magnification of these energies do tend to affect our physical, emotional and mental bodies.

As an example, during Easter / Passover weekend, there is a Lunar Eclipse (Saturday, April 4, exact at 5:00 am PST), which is taking place at 14 degrees of the relationship oriented sign of Libra.

From 7:00 - 9:00 am (PST), this eclipse, which is in a cardinal sign, will be in challenge to both Uranus and Pluto, creating a 'configuration' known as a T-square.  This can greatly intensify our emotional experience, and create friction in relationships.

The Astrological

Ceres

~ The Great Mother ~

Demeter / Ceres
Artwork by Sterendenn

Known as Ceres to the Romans, and Demeter to the Greeks, this Olympian Goddess was the daughter of Saturn and Rhea.

She is personified in all cultures from the beginning of time, as the Goddess of Fertility and Agriculture (providing basic sustenance) but also as the Great Mother, giving access to that most sought after human experience - unconditional love.

If the 'archetype' Ceres is challenged in the birth chart, this can translate to one or more

of the following:

- friction in the mother-daughter relationship

- emotional challenges with food, leading to
       digestive  disorders

- problems with female organs & menstration

- difficulty in embracing the feminine within

- feeling incapable of loving & fully accepting

       ourselves as we are

- inability to parent ourselves

- difficulty in opening up to the experience of

       love, demonstrating affection, and intimacy

- Creating a good home for ourselves and taking

care of our needs on the physical plane

If the 'archetype' Ceres is well placed in the birth chart, this can translate to :

- loving and nurturing oneself and others with ease

- allowing and accepting love and affection from

others and from the Universal source

- having a positive image of ourselves as a woman

- creating quality time to take care of our basic needs

- providing nutritional meals for ourselves & our family

- keeping our environments clean and appealing

- being open and willing to do our own healing

- knowing that we always have access to nurturing

For most of us, both male and female

alike, it is an ongoing and lengthy process

to understand, heal our separateness,

become aware of our projections,

fully embrace and integrate all that is

attributed to embodying the Great Mother.

(Mercury (Taurus) squares Jupiter (Leo), exact at 9:15 pm; Gemini Moon opposes Saturn in Sagittarius, at 11:00 pm)

Apr 21:  While we may need a little time to find our focus this morning, the afternoon influences are dynamic, energizing, determined and task oriented.
