Hello everyone:

While out for short walks in the brisk evening air, my husband and I have been quite taken with the beauty of the Mars/Venus conjunction in the evening sky.  I hope you got a chance to see it.

I now have three winners from the Oscar Competition.  There were so many of you who go it right - evidence that there's just a few 'movie buffs' out there!

I hope you are managing to stay warm where you are, and getting enough sunshine.  If not, think about getting some full spectrum light bulbs.

Thanks for joining me for the March newsletter.

Mars joins the

Uranus/Pluto square

As mentioned in the January, 2015 newsletter,

we are currently in the middle of the final two 'squares' (of seven), taking place between Uranus (Aries) and Pluto (Capricorn).

MARS transiting the sign of Aries, will conjunct Uranus and be in square to Pluto, on March 11.  This extremely volatile mix causes tempers to flare, and can be a recipe for out of control conflict on a grand scale, while also indicating more 'freak' accidents.

While the 'energies' of this combination of planets can really be felt February through April of this year, it is much more concentrated March 7 through March 17.  There is also further  emotional sensitivity associated with the Solar Eclipse,  March 20 and 21st.

What do we pay attention to?

Essentially, these 'energies' are volatile and erratic, so they can trigger powerful emotional responses and reactions.  The tendency is to push ourselves, and/or the situation at hand.  It takes awareness to choose to slow down and back off.

Be especially alert to how you handle minor frustrations.  When they arise, it's a good idea to   step back and breathe, before exercising force to make something do what it's supposed to do.  We can be talking about a cupboard door being stuck, or any number of these types of things.

Be super aware of issues which trigger anger in yourself or others.  If anger is not addressed and dealt with effectively, it can move towards being explosive, real fast!

Be alert as to what is happening around you in traffic situations, and choose caution over risk.

Challenging 'Mars' energy can create too much heat in the body, so it's important to drink lots of fluids and rest as much as possible.

Saturn & Jupiter

form a subtle

 Alliance

Jupiter
Saturn

Just to offer a little background information, the fire sign of Sagittarius, ruled by the philosophical Jupiter, is associated with the experience of freedom and expansion, often gained through the pursuit of higher learning, travel, and adventure.  Sagittarius is aligned with the Spirit.  The planet, Saturn, is associated with hard work and commitment, honoring one's  responsibilities, being practical and liking routine.  Saturn is most at home with the material level of life.

When someone has too much of a 'Jupiter' influence in their astrological chart, they might be considered to be too trusting, to be lacking in focus, follow through, practicality and commitment.  When someone has too much of a 'Saturn' influence in their chart, they might be considered to have a 'serious' disposition, be lacking in spontaneity and the capacity to show affection, be rigid in their standards and expectations of others and of situations.

Saturn has just begun it's transit of Sagittarius.  This placement resonates with the process of going deeper into the 'higher' expression of the Sagittarian experience.  This is about knowing ourselves more intimately, evaluating where we are at in our life journey, deepening our connection with, and our relationship to the 'sacred', the 'spiritual' part of life, and aligning with and fully committing to our life purpose.

If we are new to the spiritual path, we may be drawn to opening ourselves up to the spiritual experience, learning practices which help us hold onto the experiences, learning to listen from within, and determining whether we need a teacher, or a guide.

For those who have developed a strong connection with, and have been steadily pursuing the spiritual life, they may feel the call to share or teach, to embody their wisdom and/or, they may feel the pull to simply go deeper into the spiritual experience, paying close attention to the 'cue's' of how to accomplish this.  Honoring, respecting and bowing before the 'wise ones', always reveals the way.

Since Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius, it's interesting to note whether, by it's current activity in the heavens, Jupiter it is aligned with the focus of Saturn in Sagittarius.  Jupiter is now half way through its 12 month transit of the sign of Leo.  The sign of Leo is ruled by the 'Sun'.  On the highest level, the sun refers to our true nature, our capacity to stand fully in the truth of who we are, and to shine out our light.

So, as Saturn is calling upon us to go deeper into the experience of our spiritual nature, Jupiter is leading us to the same experience, inviting us to embody our true nature.

Mar 2:
There's one long, beneficial Grand Trine in the fire element today.  This helps energize and align us, with what we want to embrace, and promotes  self-confidence and a sense of purpose.
(Leo Moon trines Saturn (Sag) at 1:00 am; trines Mars (Aries) at 8:00 am; trines Venus (Aries) at 4:45 pm; trines Uranus (Aries) at 8:45 pm, and conjuncts Jupiter, at 9:00 pm).

Mar 3: The early evening brings a nice upbeat 'shift' in energy, which lends itself to forward momentum.
(Leo Moon trines Uranus in Aries)

Mar 4:  Bringing balance and awareness to how we gather and express the 'feminine' energies today, is key.  We can draw upon their strengths to support us experience balance and equilibrium, for it's possible we may experience power issues and conflict around finances, magnified by the building energies toward the Full Moon in Virgo.
(Venus (Aries) trines Jupiter (Leo), at 7:15 am; Venus conjuncts Uranus at 10:45 am; Virgo Moon squares Saturn (Sag) at 2:00 pm; Moon opposes Neptune (Pisces) at 7:15 pm; Venus squares Pluto (Capricorn), at 7:15 pm)

Mar 5:  Full Moon in Virgo. See Lunar activity.

Mar 9-19:
Fluctuating 'Mars' energies can inflame tempers and heighten potential for accidents and violence.

Mar 20:  Solar Eclipse in Pisces.  See Lunar Activity.

Mar 21:  Fluctuating energies in the early am and later in the afternoon, can contribute to erratic behaviors.
(Aries Moon squares Pluto (Capricorn) at 4:00 am, conjuncts Uranus at 4:15 am and conjuncts Mars, at 4:00 pm).

Mar 22:  Energies settle down, becoming more harmonius and lean toward self-introspection.

Mar 25:  A productive influence brings forth focus, patience and the discipline, to see our efforts through to completion.
(Aries Sun trines Saturn (Sag), exact at 12:15 pm)

Mar 27:  Fluctuating emotions taking place this evening, can result in slipping into self-destructive habits and addictions.  Not a good time to make impulsive purchases!
(A Cancer Moon comes into a challenging T-square. Opposes Pluto (Capricorn) at 6:15 pm and squares Uranus (Aries) at 7:00 pm; Venus(Taurus) squares Jupiter (Leo), exact at 7:15 pm)

Mar 30:  We may find ourselves putzing around, ignoring the inevitability of the arrival of Monday morning, and then, wham!  We have to move at the speed of light to get out the door and to work.

Lunar Activity

Mar 5:    Full Moon             14 deg. Virgo        10:05 am

Though we're likely in the mood for high productivity under this Full Moon, it's also important to stay in touch with our body rhythms, and get enough rest.  What a great time to do a 'spa' day!

Mar 20:     Solar Eclipse     29 deg. Pisces      11:45 am

After a few days of being on a very 'Piscean' journey (dreamy, otherworldly and emotionally sensitive), the Moon is about to hit Aries.  We need to move our body, and go into action mode.

Wishing you a great month.  Remember to take extra good care of yourself.

Thanks for checking in with me this month.

much love,
Margaret
