Hello Everyone

Welcome to the July newsletter.

I feel so refreshed after putting aside some quality time for contemplation and rest during the month of June. While still working and participating in daily activities, I directed much attention toward inner journeying. I also participated in a 21 day healing program (the details of which I'll share with you in the August newsletter).

We are right on the cusp of heading into a very beneficial 12 month transit with Jupiter ~ Jupiter in Leo ~ . I am offering an internet class on July 26, in which I'll discuss the details of this uplifting transit. I would love to have you aboard!

Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system. The astrological Jupiter, philosophical, benevolent and uplifting by nature, renews our inspiration and enthusiasm for life, ignites our passion, and strengthens our sense of self.

What I especially like about Jupiter transiting the sign of Leo, is that it creates a 'channel' for the the dynamic aspect of the Shakti to express itself - in other words, the masculine, action oriented expression of the Divine energy.

In this class I'll outline specific time frames when Jupiter joins with other planets in the heavens, discuss the nature of these alignments, and indicate how we can take advantage of such influences.

I will also explore how we can open ourselves up to the Shakti of Jupiter in Leo. Are we ready to bask in the light hearted, playful nature of these energies, call upon Jupiter's wisdom to reveal the next steps on our life journey, tune in more fully with our heart's desire, while also strengthening our sense of self and purpose.

The Movie

Movies offer such a powerful tapestry of archetypal imagery and 'Malificent' starring Angelina Joie, is no exception.

The majority of modern cultures do not offer any notable framework for understanding the play between light and dark, let alone a workable plan for integrating these into the soul. Fairy tales, and story telling give us this opportunity.

I saw a brief interview, in which Angelina Jolie was asked "How do you feel about playing such a dark character as Malificent?" I loved her response. She said, "Oh she's not really that dark, she's just going through some stuff, and needs to work a few things out".

In astrology, Pluto is the planet associated with the themes of loss, betrayal and revenge, which Malificent finds herself facing, when the King, once her childhood friend, betrays her. She is also dealing with another deep blow, in that her fairy 'wings' were stolen by the King. The wings represent her freedom, spiritual power, and her 'identity' as she's known it.

Saturn is represented in this story by Malificents withdrawal from that which previously nurtured her, namely the relationship with the other mythical characters of the moors, and basking in the effervescent beauty of the magical environment they live in. She walks a path of isolation and renunciation, closing her heart to love and light.

Neptune, connected with the theme of redemption, comes when Malificent, realizes almost too late, that she has formed a fondness and deep love for the daughter of the King, whom she cursed when a baby. She knows in her heart that this girl is the answer to restoring the magical realm of the moor folk. When Malificent's moment of 'surrender' comes, everything changes, opening up the way back to the light and to her heart.

July 6: Artsy Influences get the creative juices going today. Look for inspired, innovative ideas presenting themselves.

July 14: A beneficial Grand Trine comes together in the air signs this morning. This is fabulous for creative thinking and writing, teaching, giving presentations, etc. The harmonious flow is great for collaborative efforts. For those who find their flow in the late evening, a change of sign for the Moon opens up the intuitive, giving full access to the imagination.

July 15: Be sure to give yourself extra time to linger in bed this morning, to recap dreams. Reflective energies abound today.

July 19: Whether it's working in the garden, baking bread, visiting the farmer's market, walking by the water, or diving into an art project, this is a great day to turn off technology, and find your rhythm through self-nurturing.

July 27: The early evening brings forth two separate influences. One presents the opportunity to stay focused on our truth, while the other can result in our emotional power slipping away from us.

July 12: Full Moon 20 deg. Capricorn 4:25 am

The clear, practical energy from this Full Moon in Capricorn lends itself to taking care of the business at hand and putting things in order. Whatever we choose to give our focus to, this placement has the capacity for working with details and/or executing a 'master' plan, for it excels at strategic planning and creating a solid foundation from which to work with.

July 26: New Moon 3 deg. Leo 3:42 pm

A far stretch from the practical Full Moon In Capricorn noted above, this New Moon in Leo is all about fun - finding the perfect way to honor the inner child, cutting loose, letting our hair down, fully embracing the moment.

The Moon conjuncts Jupiter at 12:30 pm, creating an euphoric heartfelt feeling. For this moment in time, everything seems perfect in our world.
