1. Technical Glitches

Dec 18 - Jan 8, 2014  There can be technical glitches across the board, so this is not a good time to implement major changes to your internet service, launch a new website, or things of this nature. 

2.  Relationship / Communication 

Dec 24 - 31, 2013  There are a combination of aspects which can really try our patience.  Anger, irritability, impatience, frustration are the feelings which may come up in spades.   

The tendency is to overreact from a volatile,  defensive place, leaving no room for  compromise.   

There's a fabulous connection between Jupiter (Cancer) and Saturn (Scorpio) during December and through January 4.  This creates a backdrop of emotional support.  It helps us make the choice to let things be and come back together when we're more settled within ourselves.     

3.  Accident Prone

These influences can be accident prone with regards to activities which involve speed and risk, especially for those of us who have planets in cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn) between 8 - 17 degrees.   

4.  Unpredictable weather patterns

Dec 18 - Jan 8, 2014  we will likely see a lot of weather related challenges, which can lead to utility outages, too.

5.  Global unrest - alliances breaking down

This combination brings our attention to the realm of relationships.  How important are relationships to us?  Are we willing to learn the finer points of how to get along with others?  Are we willing to give a little, in order to reach healthy compromises?

You see, in the realm of astrology, Mars is considered to be in its 'detriment' when in Libra, in other words, not well matched.  That's because the natural expression of Mars energy is direct, individualistic and self-centered -  but the natural expression of the sign of Libra is to seek harmonious relationship connection and building closeness, working in tandem to realize shared goals.

During this transit, to some degree, we will be pressed to understand the finer points concerning how to integrate the two seemingly opposing forces described above.

What can Help

Venus, is the planet most associated with  relationships.  It is transiting the feminine oriented sign of Capricorn - November 5, 2013 - March 4, 2014.

This Venus placement is quite balanced and down to earth.  Having a 'practical' bent, it especially helps us appreciate the efforts and contribution which  others are making in relation to us.  It also helps us recognize our own strengths, and identify where  we can give a little extra. 

This placement activates the mature part of us, which recognizes that relationships may take work, but the work is well worth it, when we see that there's a good foundation on which to build.
