 July 30, 2013

Hello Everyone

As we leave behind some of the challenging influences of July
and move into the month of August, I am looking forward to basking in the light of the big hearted energies of the Sun in Leo.  It is in the nature of this sign to opt for happiness, and
to see life as a celebration.

I'm ready to invite some of the 'magic' of Leo into my life, so
I'm making it my personal mission this month to celebrate life by appreciating and acknowledging the happiness in my life.  Anyone want to join me?

Getting a handle
on
Planets in Water Signs

Mars in Cancer
July 14 - August 27, 2013

When there are so many planets in the water signs, as there are currently, we may become more aware of emotional undercurrents in our lives, noting that we tend to view

life through a 'subjective' lens, while struggling to find

our grounding, objectivity, and perspective.

The purpose of Mars is to get things moving, get things

out in the open where we know what we're

dealing with and allow for individual expression

through action.  When we're talking about Mars in

the emotionally oriented sign of Cancer, we're talking

about navigation our emotions.  We may very well

be aware of gut level feelings being stirred up, throwing

us into panic and experiencing the frantic 'fight or flight'

energies.  Don't be surprised if you are struggling with

anger, irritability and impatience.

How do we give ourselves permission to express

what we're feeling?  In her book Attitude Reconstruction, author Jude Bijou notes,  "emotions are nothing but

pure physical sensations and by getting them out of the

body - by releasing that energy...by sobbing, stomping,

and shivering, you're guaranteed to create more

love, joy, and peace in less than 5 minutes".

     Saturn in Scorpio

October 6, 2012 - December 24, 2014

June 15, 2015 - September 17, 2015

Saturn is a powerful planet and Scorpio is a powerful sign, making this combination one of the best for personal transformation, especially with regard to  changing negative emotional patterns.  It's also very good for developing a

firm foundation on the emotional and physical levels of life, helping us develop the focus required to achieve practical

goals.

This placement calls upon us to develop inner strength, determination, patience and persistence, so

that we can stand firmly in our power, in order to rise

above indecision, uncertainty, and adversity.  Saturn

may demand hard work, but it delivers!

Neptune in Pisces

October 2012 - December 2014

Mid June 2015 - Mid September 2015

Not everyone enjoys the extremely fluid, and nebulous

energies associated with Neptune in Pisces, but we have to

remember that this planet is associated with the

'transcendental' experience.  This is the realm is governs,

so It will always nudge us toward strengthening our faith

in the Divine and trusting our inner guidance.

It teaches us how to let go of struggle, by aligning with

spiritual principles, and to develop a gentle, loving and compassionate nature toward ourselves and others.  Meditation, prayer, chanting, and contemplation are

some of the supportive practices which help us

experience  spiritual connection and sustenance.

There is a bridge between the energies of Saturn in Scorpio (applying personal will and discipline) and Neptune in Pisces  (accepting, allowing and attracting).  We can work with our imagination to create 'pictures' and 'feelings' on the energetic level, thus creating a 'vibration'.  We can place our attention

on this vibration, and then release it.  We can do this as a practice.  It is possible to bring forth that which we imagined into physical form, if it is in our highest good.

We can do this the other way around, also.  If we are dealing

with something which feels very heavy and dense on the

physical plane, we can use our imagination to experience it

as 'energy' and 'light' and then and then bless it and release it.

 A Prince is Born

Prince George of Cambridge, made his way into the world on
July 22, 2013, much to the delight of his  parents, Prince
William and his wife, Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton.
To view the Natal Chart of Prince George, click on the link
   below:

(Sun in Cancer, Moon in Capricorn, Scorpio Ascendant)

Prince George's Sun is in a very late degree of Cancer, but
right on the cusp of Leo, at 29 degrees and 59 minutes.  I
believe he will be searching for the  'fire' in his belly, the
quest associated with the hero's journey - the experience
of  the royal sign of Leo.

Prince George has three challenging T-square configurations
in his natal chart and a beneficial Grand Trine.

The first T-square involves Saturn in Scorpio (11th house) in
square to his Sun in Cancer (8th house) and Moon in
  Capricorn (2nd house).

This combination makes Prince George ever aware of the
high expectations and responsibilities placed upon him,
given that he will one day, become King.  It challenges his
confidence in himself and indicates he will be a late
bloomer, in terms of coming into his own, much like his
grandfather, Prince Charles.  The support given by his
parents, and by a father who well understands what his
son is up against, can make all the difference in helping him
  find his own way.

With so many planets in water signs and  water houses,
he is not well suited to the gloomy British climate.  He will
fair much better, feel more energized and expanded, when
  he's in sunny weather.

The second T-square carries a masculine energy, in that the
fiery planet, Mars, is at the helm, which is also in its detriment
in the sign of Cancer. The rebellious elements of this
configuration, will help Prince George break free of
constraints, but will surely get him in trouble at times for
   his rebellious behavior.

He is likely to use the much of this warrior like Mars energy
by embracing rugged sports and being involved in daring
adventures, and later on, taking up a role in military service
  like his father.

He can be quite 'heated' and direct in his communication,
especially when provoked, through loss of his privacy,
given that he has Mars conjunct Mercury in Cancer, in square
  to Uranus.

The planets involved in the second T-square (above) are Mars,
Jupiter  and Mercury in Cancer,(8th House) opposing Pluto in
Capricorn  (2nd house) and in square to Uranus in Aries
  (5th house).

The third T-square involves the feminine planets.  Neptune
in Pisces (3rd house) opposes Venus in Virgo (9th house) in
square to a late degree Scorpio Ascendant.  While this can
create a tendency toward placing others on pedestals, being
involved in idealistic causes, and possibly points to some
experimentation with drugs, it masks a much deeper desire
for spiritual experience and understanding one's highest
  purpose in life.

The highest expression of the beneficial Grand Trine, in the
water element, gives Prince George an astute insight into
human nature, which results in developing compassion and
a hands-on, service oriented attitude toward his role.  It also
gives him the opportunity to develop his intuitive abilities
and have faith in a spiritual source.

Saturn is a part of this Grand Trine, which can help Prince
George accept his dharma and come to realize how he can
use his position to accomplish great deeds.

This Grand Trine involves Saturn in Scorpio (11th house),
Mercury, Mars and Jupiter in Cancer (8th house) and
Neptune and Chiron in Pisces (3rd house).

Empowerment by Rita Loyd

Aug 1-2:  We're just barely edging away from the challenging influences brought about by the big guns, Pluto and Uranus.   Even when not affecting your chart personally,  this stirs things up in the 'energetic' collective field, which can wear us down physically, emotionally and psychically, resulting in us feeling drained.

Aug 3:   Sensitive lunar activity invites us to meet the day at our own pace, with mindfulness.  Mid-afternoon brings about an expansion of our feelings, but there are some clouds gathering late afternoon into evening, which can bring forth moodiness.

(Cancer Moon trines Neptune and Saturn 6:45 am - 8:30 am; Moon conjuncts Jupiter at 2:55 pm);  T-square forms in the afternoon - Moon opposes Pluto at 4:45 pm and squares Uranus at 10:30 pm)

Aug 4:  More get up and go available today, and, clarity about what we're doing and where we're headed.  If we're involved in late night internet surfing or other such mental activities, there can be difficulty in obtaining quality sleep.

(Moon and Mars conjunct in Cancer at 3:00 am;  Leo Sun trines Uranus in Aries at 8:00 am;  Moon and Mercury conjunct in Cancer at 11:45 pm)

Aug 6:  New Moon in Leo.  See Lunar Activity.  A mid-morning action oriented influence ushers in inspiration.

(Leo Moon trines Uranus in Aries at 10:30 am)

Aug 7:  Keep your eye on obsessive/compulsive tendencies lurking in the background today.

(Jupiter in Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn at 4:30 pm, but can be felt most of the day)

Aug 8:  You may be aware of energies beginning to build around a challenging 'Mercury' aspect (exact 11th).  Keep creative thinking energies robust in the forefront, with a commitment to work out the logistics later.

Aug 11:  Erratic energies at either end of the day sandwich in a  very fixed and somewhat stubborn, mental mindset aspect. Not the best day to make important decisions, sign contract/ agreements, or discuss important issues with partners.  It's too easy to point the finger.

(Libra Moon opposes Uranus at 5:00 am;  Mercury (Leo) squares Saturn (Scorpio) at 11:00 am.  Moon squares Mars at 6:30 pm)

Aug 12:  Late evening influences can bring about en emotional downer.  Nature to the rescue: how about sitting quietly under the evening sky and catching a glimpse of the Perseids meteors!

(Moon conjuncts Saturn at 11:45 pm)

Aug 13:  There can be lingering emotional ups and downs first thing this morning.  Best scenario is to create quiet space for yourself until you're ready to take on the world.

(Scorpio Moon squares Mercury in Leo at 5:30 am)

Aug 14:  Expansive mental influence gets those creative juices happening.

(Uranus trines Mercury at 7:00 pm)

Aug 15:  A continuation of last night's expansive influences takes place this afternoon and into early evening.

(Sagittarius Moon creates positive Grand Trine with Uranus (Aries) and Mercury (Leo) 2:45 - 6:30 pm)

Aug 16:  Aspects come into place today which help the clear the air from the past few days, helping us obtain clarity.

(Leo Moon trines Uranus in Aries at 2:00 am and Moon sextiles Jupiter in Gemini at 10:30 am).

Aug 17:  If you feel the desire to take on a larger than life project today, the best approach might be to organize it into a number of smaller tasks.  That way you can avoid possible frustration of being overwhelmed.

(Capricorn Moon comes into a T-square pattern. It conjuncts Pluto at 11:30 am, opposes Jupiter in Cancer at 3:00 pm and squares Uranus in at 4:15 pm).

Aug 19:  There can be a struggle between the mind and the emotions this morning, which evens out by late afternoon.

(Aquarius Moon squares Saturn in Scorpio at 7:00am; Moon sextiles Uranus at 4:30 pm)

Aug 20:  Full Moon in Aquarius. See Lunar Activity.

Aug 21:  Emotionally sensitive, philosophical influences afoot today, accompanied by a desire for freedom.

(Pisces Moon conjuncts Neptune at 4:30 am, trines Saturn at 8:15 am and trines Jupiter at 6:00 pm; Jupiter in Cancer squares Uranus in Aries (exact just after midnight), but these energies can be felt all day.

Aug 23:  The desire for independent expression is high today.  Best to 'hang' in your own company in the afternoon/evening hours.

(Aries Moon opposes Venus at 3:15 pm, squares Pluto at 4:15 pm and conjuncts Uranus at 9:P15 pm)

August 23 - 27:   There's a combination of planets challenging the relationship oriented and financially oriented planet of Venus, which can stretch interaction with significant others and/or those whom you may be in financial negotiations with.  Not known for compromise and collaboration, these aspects can nevertheless help you get clear on what your position is and stand by it!

Venus is also connected to the arts.  When in a creative process, the above noted challenges can take your work in another direction than you planned on.

Aug 24:  The first of three Venus aspects comes into play early this morning. We want to be gracious with others, and align with their desires, but may not be able to pull this off so easily.

(Venus in Libra squares Pluto in Capricorn at 3:00 am)

Aug 25-26:  Will someone please help us determine whether we're coming or going!  We can usually count on the energies of a Taurus Moon to be pretty down to earth, and laid back, but not this time!

25th - Not an easy day for practical planning or doing detailed work on the computer.  Just when you think you've got your focus aligned with the task at hand - shazam - it entirely dissolves before your very eyes.  An evening influence can put a bit of a damper on social dinner plans.

(Moon trines Mercury in Virgo at 1:15 pm but Mercury also opposes Neptune at 4:15 pm; Moon opposes Saturn in Scorpio at 6:45 pm)

26th - The second Venus aspect (mentioned above) comes into play today, the energies of which supports independent action.

Artisticlly, this is very avant garde, so if you're making a large purchase of a personal item, be sure of the return policy - for it may be too outrageous for your tastes next week.

You may feel 'antsy' in the evening hours, not being sure what to do with your time.

(Venus in Libra opposes Uranus in Aries at 11:00 am; Sun in Virgo opposes Neptune in Pisces at 6:45 pm)

Aug 27:  We have two interesting influences unfolding today, which act like 'checks and balances' to each other.  The third and final Venus aspect, preferring to focus on the big picture, can also lean toward extravagant expression and excess.  This is partly balanced by the other influence, which seeks prudence and objectivity.

(Venus squares Jupiter at 3:00 pm and Mercury in Virgo sextiles Saturn in Scorpio at 2:45 am)

Aug 30:  A subtle influence allows for penetrating insights.  Artistic expression can have a soothing and therapeutic effect.

(Jupiter in Cancer sextiles Mercury in Virgo at 8:00 pm)

Aug 31:  You may wake up with a desire to break free of constraints today and opt for spontaneity.

(Cancer Moon squares Uranus at 4:30 am and conjuncts Jupiter at 8:45 am)
