New $100 Bill to Circulate in October          

The Federal Reserve Board announced that it will begin circulating a redesigned $100 note on October 8, 2013. The new note includes new security features, such as a blue 3-D ribbon across the center of the bill, improving the new note's resistance to counterfeiting.  The new design was unveiled in 2010, but its introduction has been delayed by production problems.
