Sons of the Prophet at Stray Cat Theatre depicts Stephen Karam's brutally funny comedy of two brothers, Charles and Joseph Douaihy, who are young, gay, and having a hell of a year. After their father dies, their uncle loses it, and puts the brothers' sense of humor to the test. Joseph, who is battling a mysterious ailment, is pressured by his eccentric boss to write a memoir about his Maronite Catholic  family's connection to Kahlil Gibran, author of The Prophet. Throw an ambitious and sexy reporter in search of a story into the mix, and things get even more intense. Don't miss this comedy about culture, family, and how where we come from plays a part in how we cope with wounds that just won't heal.
