Please join your church in praying for the following requests for the life and mission of the church:

- Please pray for folks attending the Questions From A Hat series, that the Lord would answer doubts and draw folks to himself.
- Pray for our Sunday School classes, that we would build up the found from children up through adults. - Pray also for our search for new church staff to lead Building Administration and Communications. - Pray for the work of our mission partner Beyond Imagination as they walk alongside those who need healing from sexual, relational, physical and emotional brokenness.

Prayer and Praise Night - This Sunday, January 25
Join us this Sunday, January 25, from 6pm-7pm in the Sanctuary for a service of Prayer and Praise.
There will be no childcare, but children are welcome to participate in the service.

Adult Sunday School Classes
This round of classes runs from January 18-May 17. There is still time to join!
1 & 2 Peter - Our Scripture class will focus on these two letters from Peter to a people facing suffering and difficulty, which gives us the chance to consider how we face our own brands of trials in our day. Led by Curt Solomon and Eric Oltman and meets in Room 201.
That The World May Know - The richness of the ancient world that lies behind the Bible opens our eyes to the depths of God and his word. Led by John Farwell and meets in Room 204.
Foundations (To Be A Christian) - We think we know what a Christian is, but knowing Christ is more than just saying 'yes' to him. We will dive deep into the gospel, the Creeds, Baptism, Communion and the theology and practice of walking with Jesus. Led by Eric Bolash and Owen Kelly and meets in Room 203.
Spiritual Formation - Following Jesus is a journey. And there are tools that help us walk with him such as prayer, fasting and even silence. Come and be further equipped for this journey. Led by Frank Shell (*This is a 9-week class. When complete, any of the other classes will be happy for you to join them.) Meets in Room 205.

2015 Rwanda Partnership Trip - Due January 25
Rwanda, Here We Come! Please pray about joining this year's team. We will travel from July 16-25, and the trip will be led by Eric Bolash and Curt Solomon. The primary purpose will be to build deeper relational connections through prayer. We will also look further into how we can partner with the Anglican church's Healthy Mom's Project. And, we hope to be taught to sing a Rwandan praise song! The trip cost is approximately $3,000. Applications are available on our website (HERE) and are due January 25.

Now Hiring for Two Positions on the Church Staff
In mid-February, Julie Barnes will be stepping down from the staff after 10 years of dedicated service to our church to have a baby. We will miss her and are looking for two people to take her place! Her role will be split into two specific part time positions working in the areas of Communications and Building Administration. The specific job descriptions are linked below.

Next Baptism - February 15

Our next baptism will be on Sunday, February 15. There will be a class for parents on Saturday, February 14, from 9-10am. We ask that at least one parent of the child being baptized be a member at Apostles.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper - February 17
Join us on Tuesday, February 17, for our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper. We will serve the meal from 5pm-7pm so drop in anytime during those two hours to enjoy breakfast for dinner as we celebrate the last day before the beginning of the Lenten season. There will be gluten-free and gluten-filled pancakes available and bacon. There is no specified cost, but there will be a basket for voluntary donations to help cover the cost of the dinner.

Prayer and Praise on Tuesdays - All are welcome!
All are welcome to Praise and Prayer every Tuesday from 1:45-3:45pm in the Sanctuary. We begin with 45 minutes of praise and worship accompanied by a CD. Then we move to a time of corporate prayer for our pastors, ministries of the church, events in the world, and also responding in prayer as Holy Spirit leads. Praise and Prayer is uplifting and the time flies by! Oh, magnify the Lord with us, and let us exalt His name together!

Help Build Flora's Habitat Home
Flora Mohamed is a single mom with four children who has been attending Apostles for over two years. A refugee from Sudan, Flora has been working hard to provide for her family. She has qualified for a home through Habitat for Humanity and has helped to build Habitat homes for others.
Now we can help Flora build her home! Construction will be begin on Flora's home in mid-February. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays are the days that people can volunteer and anyone 16 and older can be a volunteer. To sign up, click on the link below. Her home will be in the Augusta Crossing Neighborhood, so be sure to sign up for that location.

Women in the Word (Mondays 7-9 PM)
Women in the Word, the Monday night women's Bible Study will study The Storm Inside, by Shelia Walsh. It is a study based on 8 women women of the Bible whose stories still speak today encouraging you that God is faithful enough to get you through the worst storms in life. We love welcoming new people to this class and have women of all ages, so feel free to bring friends, family members, and co-workers. Workbooks are $14. Muffins 'n More will continue their year-long study of 1 Corinthians. We are a group of committed women who meet the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month in Room 208 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Come join us! KidsTime-This week we are talking about Jesus First Miracle (John 2:1-22)
BigTime- BigTime takes place the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month. 3rd-5th graders are invited to fill out sermon notes, have a parent sign for their completion, and place a ticket in the box. We're just 50 tickets away from a party!
