Do you remember what happened on the 8th day of Christmas?
The 8th day of Christmas, you ask? You mean, eight maids a milking?
Nope!
On the eighth day of Christmas--after Jesus is born in a humble feeding trough, after the angels sing "Glory to God in the highest" and announce good news of great joy to all the people, after the shepherds, amazed, run to Bethlehem, but before the Magi come bearing gifts--Jesus is formally welcomed into the Jewish people.

Greetings! What a wonderful time of year! This Season of Light is part of so many different faith traditions. Of course, wars are still raging, and poverty and oppression continue to be a daily part of so many lives. But the sparks of light radiating from followers of faith throughout the world bring a positive and joyful focus to this holiday season. With that in mind, I encourage you to watch my new video, "Celebrating a Sacred and Sustainable Holiday." In this video I offer 5 tips on keeping YOUR holiday, from whatever faith tradition, focused on the light!
