Are you in CARB Compliance?

Off-Road, On-Road, and Portable Equipment Regulations for 2014

UCON Members:

As we gear up for a new year, make sure your equiment is CARB compliant.

Schedule your fleet reviews, analysis and budgeting with a view toward CARB requirements for 2014. Pay attention to the upcoming cut-off dates by which you must act in order to take advantage of the revisions.

To assist our members, we have provided summary review checklists for Off-Road, On-Road, and Portable Power.

Off Road Checklist:

According to Regulatory Advisory #MSCD 13-25, CARB will phase in enforcement of various elements of the rule beginning January 1, 2014. Note: Most two-engine vehicles are now in Off-Road and must be reported in DOORS.

On-Road Checklist:

Light Duty Trucks, Heavier Trucks, and the Phase-In Option. 2014 also brings CARB revisions to the Truck and Bus Regulation. IMPORTANT: The "drop-dead" date for reporting to TRUCRS is January 31st, 2014

Portable Power Checklist:

Effective January 1, 2013, portable diesel engines registered in PERP or operating under local air district permits must meet the additional emissions fleet averages established by the California Airborne Toxic Control Measure (ATCM). Review the fleet emission requirements and access the CARB calculator to determine compliance.
