GREETINGS FROM

CAREN FORD AND NANCY FISHER

INTERIM CO-EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS

Dove

The summer has ended all too soon and we are preparing for a very busy fall. JVS is entering its 75th year of "helping people help themselves" to find employment and become self-reliant, productive citizens while attaining dignity and independence.  To kick off our anniversary year, Grammy award winning Kenny Garrett and The Kenny Garrett Quintet will be featured at a benefit concert to be held at Temple B'nai Abraham in Livingston, NJ on Sunday, November 17th, at 4:00 p.m. This is the first time that JVS has hosted such an event-an afternoon of jazz that can be enjoyed by all.  We hope you will join us for this outstanding musical experience -- Jazz it Up with JVS. Look for more information about this and other 75th Anniversary celebrations in the near future.

As we begin the New Year, we would like to welcome Sidney Seligman, the new President of JVS's Board of Trustees.  In this issue, you will learn about the diverse background and unique skills Sid brings to JVS.  It is our pleasure to work side by side with him as we plan for the many changes and challenges that will face us as we look ahead to the next 75 years.

In closing, we would like to take this opportunity to wish all our friends celebrating the Jewish New Year a happy, healthy and prosperous 5774, and to express our hopes for peace and success as we move forward.  And as JVS begins its 75th year, we would like to thank you for your continued support, and ask that you consider making a donation to our annual campaign.

You should have recently received a letter asking you to become a Friend of JVS.  We would very much appreciate your contribution, so that JVS can continue to provide services to over 16,000 people annually. Your help is needed now more than ever, and you can provide it by simply clicking Donate Now. This will enable the agency to move forward and provide many more years of service to the community.

As always, thank you for your continued support.

Caren and Nancy
