Progressive Arts Alliance
| |
Progressive Arts Alliance enriches the lives of students, teachers and residents through its dynamic arts-in-education programs in classrooms, community centers, libraries and other community spaces.
In 2012, PAA served 1,100 students each week during the academic year in 80 programs throughout Cuyahoga County.
PAA Founder and Executive Director Santina Protopapa says, "The quality of our programming has increased as a result of Cuyahoga Arts & Culture's investment. We're tracking outcomes better, building a more rigorous curriculum and improving service to our students. It's exciting that CAC's funding comes from our community and, in return, helps support and strengthen it."

Dear friends,
Summer is a great time to enjoy our community's arts and culture programs and events. Whether you're enjoying a community festival with family, lazing on Wade Oval listening to music with friends, or learning about science with your kids, I think you'll agree: this time of year, our community shines.
Together with the organizations we fund, we're already planning for next year; the first step in the process to apply for Project Support funding in 2014 is due July 2. Read on to learn more about a current Project Support grant recipient, the Euclid Wind Festival.
We're also pleased that, through a new partnership with Neighborhood Connections, we'll help to fund arts and culture activities organized by residents in Cleveland and East Cleveland. Applications are due August 9 and funded projects will be announced in the fall.
Our community is bustling with vibrant arts and culture activities, and we're proud to be part of it.
Sincerely,
Karen Gahl-Mills
Executive Director
