All meetings are held in the Library.

fop fundraising is

a year-round effort

1. Mail a check payable to FOP at 1034 N. Wells St., Chicago, IL 60610

2. Drop a check into the FOP box in the school office. Make it payable to FOP.

3. Contribute online via credit card by clicking the donate button on Payton's homepage. All contributions are tax deductible and all amounts are equally appreciated.

lsc meetings are

 open, next is 6/08

Parents, guardians, and the public are welcome at Local School Council (LSC) meetings, which are held monthly in the Payton Library at 6PM.

The LSC is an elected body that has three main responsibilities: School Budget, Continuous Improvement Work Plan (formerly SIPAAA), and Principal Evaluation, Retention and Selection.

All are welcome to attend and to make comments during the "Public Comments" portion of the meeting.

A LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL

The Final Stretch

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this finds you well! This is always a unique time of the year in the life cycle of a school: the energy of final projects and activities, the excitement of summer months, tempered by the melancholy of the cruel reality of a high school educator is that every year we need to formally say good-bye to ~25% of our students as they graduate into other adventures. Of course, preparing our students for such adventures is part of our oath, but we get so close to our students, and so much enjoy their presence, camaraderie, and zest for life, that knowing that they will not physically be in our daily lives for much longer simply requires us to savor the short time remaining that we have together. We, the faculty, very much look forward to our upcoming senior events: luncheon, awards, prom, and graduation. With that, we are also so thankful for the wonderful four years of fellowship and partnership we have had with our senior parents. Sincere and lasting thanks for all you have done to make our community better and, importantly, for entrusting your child to our care for the past four years. We certainly hope that the past four years have brought growth of mind and heart to your child.

We continue with:
·  Offering 110 different Honors and Advanced Placement courses for our students for the upcoming academic year.  As you know, the months-long process of programming students and teacher into courses has commenced.  Thank you for working with your child to craft a challenging but doable program for themselves.
·  Urging decision-makers in Springfield and elsewhere to significantly address education funding inequities that continue to challenge educators' abilities to teach in ways that are befitting all students, regardless of zipcode.  Please visit http://cps.edu/pages/equality.aspx for resources. As of this writing, we have not received a budget for the upcoming academic year. Of course, we will provide information when we do.
·  Opening the world to our students, with recent trips to Costa Rica and France.
·  Our awe of our student's many talents, including our Concert Choir (which partnered with the choirs from Northside and Jones in a beautiful rendition of Carmina Burana), Cole Robbins (JR) (who was named with faculty member, Mr. Brandon Newton, as a Bezos Scholar), Sam Detmer (SR) (who was named a Presidential Scholar), Simone Wallk (JR) (who was named a Bronfman Fellow)
·  Excitement for the remainder of this school year and for the transitions of our seniors into their undergraduate experiences.

Referencing a recent report that found lead in the water at a CPS elementary school, some have asked about lead water testing throughout CPS and Payton. It is my understanding that all schools will be tested in coming weeks. I will share results that are provided.

VOLUNTEER

Though the number of school days left is shrinking, the number of volunteers the school needs keeps growing! We need several dozen Payton parents and guardians to help out between now and the first day of school: Sept. 6. Please consider volunteering to help with one of the following activities - it is a great way to support Payton and to connect with other Payton families.

Teacher Appreciation Lunch, Jun. 17, 12-1PM.  This annual celebration of the teachers and staff who make Payton terrific includes, by tradition, homemade desserts from Payton families. We need several volunteers to set up, serve food, and clean up on Jun. 17 and several to send in some homemade goodies - if you can help, please  send an email
Registration: Aug. 22, 23, 24, and 31. If you know the alphabet and want to help make sure all our kids are signed up to start school on Sept. 6, you are a perfect fit for helping with registration! We need 25 volunteers on each of the four mornings that returning students will be registering. If you can help one (or more!) morning, send an email.

Ongoing Needs: We always need volunteers - whether it's fundraising, Teacher Wish List, Spirit Wear, in school events, or re-designing the FOP link on the school website. If you have interest or experience in any of these areas, or just want to get more involved,  email us and we'll put you to work!

DONATE

As always, our community continues to donate funds for Payton classrooms and programming through Teacher Wishlist, Payton Pavers, Spirit Wear and other programs. Thanks to everyone for their generous support!
FRIENDS OF PAYTON

A Message from Marla Gross

Dear Payton Families:

I want to say thank you to everyone who has participated, volunteered, and donated this year! Through FOP, Payton families provided an extraordinary amount of support throughout the year. As we all know, as early as last summer we were called upon to assist our great school through our fundraising activities. And because of your generosity, we were able to fill the gaps caused by the CPS budget crisis, allowing us to provide for our teachers and students in ways that help make Payton the remarkable learning institution that we have all come to admire.

As my daughter Emily graduates with the class of 2016, this year marks my last as FOP President. While it has been a successful year, we struggled, as did other CPS schools, and I can't help but worry about the challenges the school faces in the coming school year. The school will rely heavily on FOP for the things FOP has traditionally helped provide, like professional development for teachers, technology, and international travel. Payton will also look to FOP to support things that have historically been covered by the CPS budget, like teacher positions and textbooks. Please remember this for next year - our students will need your help.

To those families graduating with mine, good luck to you in the future! I wish you happiness and success in all your adventures. To those who will be back at Payton in the fall, I hope you have a great summer and come back ready for another terrific year.

Go Grizzlies!

Warmly,
Marla Gross

Future Problem Solvers

Designed for grade levels 4-12, the Future Problem Solving Bowl (FPSB) Global Issues Problem Solving (GIPS) 4-person team is a statewide, national, and international competition program. Students research topics that have implications for the future. A future scene or imagined future story prompts students to tackle social, scientific, political, economic or technological issues. Teams explore challenges to the future as they refine their critical and creative thinking skills; select one problem area; produce unique solution ideas; and develop an action plan to resolve their specific problem. Students then present a 5-minute skit to 'sell' their solution to an audience of their peers. The topic for the recently concluded Illinois state bowl is 'the global workplace'.

Eleven Payton students competed in the Illinois Future Problem Solving Bowl (FPSB) regional team competition and, consequently, advanced to the State Bowl held at Normal, Illinois on Apr.15. There were three teams of four, namely 1) sophomores Adam Clark, Clara Drimmer, Alyssa Figueroa, Catherine Johnson, 2) freshman Liam Schumm and sophomores Alex Ding, George Zhang, Yu Jing Chen, 3) freshman Michael Diersen and sophomores Isabel Diersen, Rohan Lopez & Eva Mazura (of Jones Prep). Team 3 placed 5th in the oral presentation.

Future Problem Solving Program International (FPSPI) is an international program that involves thousands of students from over 15 countries around the world. The mission of the program is to develop the ability of young people globally to design and promote positive futures through problem solving using critical and creative thinking. One competitive component of FPSPI is Global Issues Problem Solving (GIPS) in which participants research a series of global topics and learn a six-step creative problem solving process. Problem solvers apply their topic and creative problem solving knowledge to address a charge presented in an imagined situation. The topic for the recently concluded Illinois FPSB is 'recovering from natural disasters' and the topic for the International conference is 'energy of the future'. In each competition, a panel of trained evaluators score student work and return them with feedback including suggestions for improvement.

Congratulations to Isabel Diersen and Catherine Johnson for placing first (1st) and fourth (4th) respectively in the Illinois Future Problem Solving Bowl (FPSB) Individual competition on Feb.13.  First place winners advance to the International Finals to represent Illinois in the Individual competition. This year's International Conference will be held in Lansing, Michigan on Jun. 1-5.

Mental Health

Awareness Month

Dr. Erica Bauer, Director of Student Engagement

We have had a number of wonderful events this month to engage in Mental Health Awareness Month. Mr. Bowles (School Counselor) worked with his team to develop an advisory lesson about addressing mental health stigma. During this lesson, students watched a TED Talk about a young man's journey with depression. Then, students were provided an opportunity to discuss related issues within the context of their personal lives.

Ms. Capeless and Ms. Ruzich offered a number of enrichments to inform students about mental health among children and teens and to equip students with simple exercises to better care for themselves. These special enrichments - Mental Health Awareness, Mental Disorders in the Media, and Stressed Out Students - were open to all students. Students also received mental health resources throughout the month to read and practice management strategies on their own. If you would like more information about resources that were used throughout the month, please check out the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) website. The month closed out with "Green Day," a day to wear green to stand in solidarity with those affected by mental illness and fight the stigma.

Additionally, an enrichment that was inspired by the topics covered this month called "Coloring with Donald" will begin in June. This enrichment, which will be lead by a senior, will provide students with yet another way to alleviate stress and anxiety, while bonding with others. The goal is to include this enrichment within the enrichment offerings in the future.

We take mental health issues very seriously here at Payton and believe that if we can better equip our students with tools to navigate mental and emotional challenges at this stage of life, we will better equip them for the realities of life and possibly save them a lot of money on therapy in the future. To this end, I am excited to roll out additional year-round supports in the fall.

Stay tuned!

reaching_hands_hdr.jpg Coming Together For Jonathan

Jonathan Annicks, a senior here at Payton, is a varsity runner and is well known in Payton's media/journalism community. He is a bright young man whose presence has always guaranteed to make others smile. He has always been a hard working student, not letting anything get in the way of his dreams. On Apr. 10, Jonathan stepped out from his home to retrieve a phone charger from the family car and, without reason, warning or provocation, he was shot by an unknown man and he is now paralyzed from the chest down. Jonathan is known to his friends and fellow Grizzlies as an adventurous, physically active guy who loves the Blackhawks (he coached youth hockey), loves school, and spends endless hours in the journalism lab, working with Ms. Mowery. Jonathan's plans to begin college in the fall and study broadcast communications are now on hold as he focuses on his recovery and adapts to a new reality. Jonathan has shown his inherent optimism, grace, and love of life by responding with positivity, hope, and smiling assurances that he will prevail.

His friends and the community are working to support Jonathan, and insure he has everything he and his family need to face this unimaginable challenge, and so Friends of Jonathan Annicks was launched. It is an online crowd-sourced medical fund the goal of which is to secure donations towards Jonathan's needs, including continuing medical care, physiotherapy, rehabilitative therapy, medical equipment, and other necessities for maximal recovery, self-sufficiency and independence.

Please consider participating in the Payton community's effort to help Jonathan in this time of need, and support him as he moves forward. Visit Friends of Jonathan Annicks to make a donation. Thank you.

La Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica
The Payton chapter of La Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica (SHH) is honored to announce it won the national prize for Activity of the Year for its Frida Kahlo exhibit and workshop. This event, held at Payton, was for Salazar Elementary students to learn about the life of Frida Kahlo through an exhibit of Frida's work, a story on her life, and even a visit from Frida herself. Additionally, the Dulzura 34 chapter of SHH inducted the second class of members on May 17. SHH is excited to have this new group of 32 passionate and dedicated Spanish students join the group.

National Spanish Exam Successes!
Congratulations to several world language students from Payton who attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2016 National Spanish Examinations. Students from Payton earned a total of 8 gold, 15 silver, and 27 bronze medals along with 35 honorable mentions. "Attaining a medal or honorable mention for any student on the National Spanish Examinations is very prestigious," said Kevin Cessna-Buscemi, National Director of the Exams, "because the exams are the largest of their kind in the United States with over 160,000 students participating in 2016." These exams were administered by Spanish teachers Ms. Colleen Long-Vallin, Ms. Kathleen Gallegos, and Ms. Alicia Quintero. The National Spanish Examinations are administered each year in grades 6 through 12, and are sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese.

Pan-African Youth Exchange Visits Payton
On Wed. May 25, seminar day, Global Connections welcomed WorldChicago's Pan-African youth exchange to Payton. Fourteen students and three teachers from Angola, Ghana, Rwanda, and Tanzania visited Payton to tour the school, meet students, and sample Payton's diverse seminar offerings. A big thank you to our Student Global Ambassadors, Bonnie Wu (SR), Nicole Culver (JR), Bessie Zhang (JR), Clara Drimmer (soph), and Isaac Gershberg (soph), for volunteering their time and sharing their insights on life at Payton, making for a truly meaningful student-to-student cross-cultural experience!

Thank You I-Night 2016 Supporters
Gracias, Merci, Arigato, Xie xie, Gratias to all who came out and supported International Night 2016! Without your support and involvement this vibrant community event wouldn't be possible. All funds raised from I-Night will go toward supporting next year's international Payton trips and exchanges.

Global Youth Ambassadors Summit, Chicago, Jul. 22-30
The Global Youth Ambassadors Summit is an educational forum in Chicago to help grow a new generation of global leaders. Participants from Chicago and its 28 international sister cities will be empowered through workshops, discussions, and presentations on advocacy, activism, and leadership. The Summit encourages young women to become active leaders in their communities and develop solutions to the challenges girls face around the world.

A joint program of Chicago Sister Cities International and the University of Illinois at Chicago, the Summit will consist of a one-week summer intensive program for teenage girls, ages 14 to 16. It will be an opportunity for the girls to meet their peers from around the world; share issues that are of concern to them; participate in self-advocacy, activism, and leadership-development workshops; and meet with distinguished women in leadership positions. The participants will be made aware of the experiences of peers who come from different backgrounds, and will be positioned to serve as advocates for each other in the future. The girls will form long-term friendships and networks and will learn skills that will serve them-and their communities-for generations to come.

Thank You Payton Parents and Guardians!
It is with much gratitude that Friends of Payton would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Annual Fund, Gala, Wish list, and for other donations to the school. The 2015-2016 school year budget was impacted greatly by the cuts implemented by CPS. We are pleased to say that our community was able to stave off teacher cuts and maintain reasonable class sizes this year. We also were able to provide funding for additional meaningful programs, such as student seminars, Global Connections, and professional development for teachers, which enhance our students' learning experience at Payton. On behalf of the Friends of Payton, teachers, staff, LSC and the students we want thank you once again for your generosity of time, talent and your treasure. Congratulations to the class of 2016.

Planning for Next Year
We are currently recruiting Gala Volunteers for the 2017 Spring fundraising party. There are many opportunities to contribute, and working on a social event like the Gala is a wonderful way to make new friends and be a part of the community. If you would like to get involved, send us an email.

Finally, if you have not collected or received your winning certificate(s) from the Sweet 16 Celebration, please email Deb Roney before the close of the school year.

Instrumental:Congratulations to all of the Instrumental Ensembles for their hard work and the effort they put into the Spring Concert last month.

The Payton Jazz Orchestra performed for the annual CURE (Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy) Chicago Event in early May at the Field Museum. This band has appeared yearly at the benefit, this marking the fourteenth year. From Susan Axelrod, founder of CURE: "I was very sorry I was never able to make it up the stairs to the balcony reception this year....I heard your sounds from afar, and heard from others who saw you, that you were fantastic as always. The WPCP Jazz Band is a highlight of everyone's memories, year after year, and adds such a special meaningful touch to the evening."

Choir Room:What a year this has been! Right on the heels of returning from Argentina, our Concert Choir buckled down to finish learning "Carmina Burana" to perform with Jones and Northside last month. The concert was a smashing success. Both singers and conductors were inspired by the music and the collaboration. DVDs of the performance are available. Contact Ms. Kate Johnston (Music) if you are interested.

Beginning Choirs presented their Spring Concert on May 24. They made history by being the first classes to write their own composition for public performance! The evening also included both individual and collaborative performances by Pieces of Perfection (PoP) and Sounds of Sweetness (SoS), Payton's girls and boys a cappella groups.

Dates to Remember:
Jun. 9: First-ever Concert Choir Senior Showcase at 6PM in the Recital Hall. Seniors will present solos and ensembles for family and friends. The event will be followed by a reception.
Jun. 13: Concert Choir, SoS, and PoP will perform at the 2016 Senior Graduation Ceremony.
Jun. 21: SoS will sing some tunes to kick off summer at Payton's Field Day.

Grizzly Team Updates

Math Team: Payton's math team placed 10th overall in the state at the ICTM (Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics) State Championships at the University of Illinois on Sat. May 2. Congratulations to all 41 competitors! And kudos to the two oralist competitors, Hanna Mularczyk (JR) and Matthew McColgan (SR), for a particularly outstanding performance, earning first place overall.

Debate: In early May, seniors Lenny Brahin and Luisa Cusick participated in the Tournament of Champions for Policy Debate at University of Kentucky. Brahin won 12th speaker and Cusick won 13th speaker.

Boys Tennis: What a season for Payton Boys Varsity Tennis! Despite lots of rain, wind and cold, the Grizzlies finished conference play season with solid victories over Jones, Taft, De La Salle, and Lincoln Park. Congratulations to Dawson Gallay (JR), Adam Isaacs (JR), Alex Zhu (soph), Oliver Borstein (frosh), Quaid Childers (frosh), and Mason Wicklander (frosh), who rotated play at #3 doubles for an undefeated conference season! The team came in second place at the CPS City Championships, losing to Whitney Young in a tie-breaker. Number two doubles team Jack Mellske (SR) and Travis Thom (JR) were the top seeds at the tournament. Alex Vinarov (soph) and Adam Clark (soph) played #1 and #2 singles respectively, with #1 doubles team Alex Ernst (SR)/Asher Borstein (JR) and #2 doubles team Thom/Isaac Gershberg (soph) at the IHSA Sectionals hosted by St. Ignatius. Alex Vinarov moves on to the State tournament. Big thanks to first year coach Billy Gardner for a spectacular season!

Girls Water Polo: The team finished a great year by advancing to the IHSA Sectional Finals before losing to St. Ignatius in the championship game. Before that, the team steamrolled through the city playoffs before losing a tough game to Whitney Young in the City Championship. Alina Hillery (SR) had a phenomenal season playing goalie and will be dearly missed. However, the rest of the team will be back again next year, setting expectations very high for 2017.

Girls Soccer: Coach Escobar's young team fought through adversity and defeated Elmwood Park 2-1 in the IHSA 2A Regional Championship. The win marks an impressive 5th consecutive regional title for the girls' program. The physical match required a full team effort along with some key coaching moves to secure the victory. With four regular starters unavailable for the game Escobar called up three JV players to contribute on the field. All answered the call but perhaps none more than Sarah Rezco (JR) who scored the game winning goal midway through the second half after Maddie Beirne (JR) had opened the scoring early in the first half. The win was the biggest thus far in a successful month of soccer that saw the team win three opening round matches and advance to semi-finals of the CPL City playoffs before being eliminated in a close match with Lane. In recognition of their strong performances throughout the season co-captain Vivian Gasca (JR), co-captain Hannah Lowenthal (JR), Cami Grandjean (JR), and Blair Ellis (soph) were all named to the CPL All City Team. The girls season ended with a loss to Jones in the Sectional semifinals. We look forward to watching a strong and seasoned team next year!

Girls Golf: The Grizzlies have won the City Championship eight times in the last nine years. The team has produced seven individual City Champions. Most players on the team started playing the game of golf in their freshman year. Although this is a fall sport the team starts voluntary practices early. The first practice will be Jun. 28. They practice at two locations, one north and one south. The season begins in Aug. and goes to the first week in Oct.. Although the girls are extremely competitive, the overwhelming reason the girls like being on the team is because it is fun. Please contact Coach Tom Troy or Coach Amy Martin with questions you may have.

Boys Volleyball: The Varsity team culminated a successful season by winning its conference and coming in second in the Chicago Public League championship before falling to #1 seeded St. Pats in a hard-fought Regional Championship in the state tournament. Ten seniors formed a great bond, having played together since freshman year. We wish these soon-to-be-graduates great things in the future: Andres Correa, Max Donovan, Isaiah Eckart-Frank, Devon Elmore, Henry Jacob, Matt Mata, Luke Roeber, Jonah Shifrin, Jonathan Switzer, Brandon Taylor, Ezra Wallon.

The JV team also had a successful run, finishing 3rd in regular season play before losing in the semi-finals of the Chicago Public Championship to the eventual city champion.

Boys Track & Field: The team had a very successful season, led by the World's Fastest Grizzly, Myles Davis (JR). Congratulations to the two-time Sectional champion Davis, who qualified for the State meet by winning both the 100m and 200m sprints. This was the first year the team moved up a level to 3A.

Girls Track & Field: The girls track team had an amazing season with new personal records and a lot of laughs! Opening up the season the girls took first at the Presidents' Day Classic with 83 points and kept the high standards rolling until the end. Although struggling with poor weather at several meets, the girls managed to pull through with multiple wins. To close out the season the team sent six girls to state: Kat Jankowiak (SR) for the 4X8, Esha Kular (SR) for the 4X8, Claire Goldman (JR) for the mile and 4X8, Alana Chandler (soph) for the 2-mile, Katelyn Hutchison (soph) for discus, and Dharma Seda Gonzalez (soph) for the 4X8.

The girls did not make finals but they did do incredibly well at the Open Races Under Lights that same night. Congratulations to Chris Lassaline on his first year as head coach of Track and Field and Cross Country. The teams could not have done it without him. Congratulations on the great season!

Baseball: Despite an ongoing battle with Mother Nature, the varsity baseball team had a full and rewarding season, and are still playing thanks to winning the IHSA Regional Championship against Ridgewood, a terrific accomplishment! The regular season highlight was actually a loss, in which the Grizzlies took eventual city champions Lane Tech to extra innings before succumbing 7-6. The squad also defeated Ag Science in the city playoffs to avenge an earlier defeat.

The JV had a nice turnaround and finished 7-8 by winning five of their last seven games. The freshmen had a limited freshman-only schedule but contributed heavily to the JV team and in the freshman division lost the championship game in a tightly contested 4-3 thriller against a Lane Tech team with more than twice the number of players on the roster.

Girls Softball: Payton Softball finished the season with an 8-8 record. The team finished 6th in the Red North Conference, and won its first round playoff game against Jones, 8-5. Congratulations to Abby Gracia (frosh), who was selected to the All-City Team.

Letter Day on May 25 was a great success. Thanks to Payton's Sounds of Sweetness for kicking things off with a terrific Star Spangled Banner and congratulations to the 420 participants in Payton's athletic and academic teams who earned Varsity Letters or pins this year. Special thanks to Lynn Kalanik for coordinating this fun wrap-up event-you will be missed.

NEXT MEETING JUNE 8

Local School Council (LSC) Update

At recent meetings of the Payton Local School Council, Principal Devine provided updates and the LSC discussed the following matters:

Budget: There is no exact time frame for receiving next year's budget, though we'll probably get it within weeks. Principals have been told next year's budget will be very difficult.
Programming: Sound Programming will soon be underway. The course guide will be published this week and the students will begin selections on Sunday. The AP recommendation process has changed: If a student has an A or B in an Honors or AP course for the first semester and third quarter, he or she can advance to the next level course without approval. Previously, there was no standard; departments processes varied widely.
ACT/SAT Testing: Next year juniors will take the SAT. One measure of the school quality report is growth form one year to the next on the ACT. A determination needs to be made about how this will be measured next year.

Diverse Learners: The Special Olympics team is actively engaged in competition. The Best Buddies Prom was last week. Payton hosted the citywide event.
Faculty Achievements: Mr. Ben Hyman (Math) won the Promising Young Educator award from the IL Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
Calendar: The 2016-17 Payton calendar is under development, led by Mr. Nick Barge (Science, CTU representative) and the PPC (Professional Problems Committee). Vote will be held next week. Some changes could result from the CTU  contract, which is still being negotiated.
Continuous Improvement Work Plan (CIWP): The Instructional Leadership Team does a lot of work on growth goals and focus areas. This year, Beyond Measure spurred much thinking. The ILT has been analyzing faculty feedback and it unanimously decided to develop and implement pedagogy around problem/project/performance-based learning, which involves conception, not just content. The goal is to move from lower order skills (knowledge acquisition, comprehension, retention) to higher, more complex thinking (application), according to Bloom's Taxonomy. Some strategies being considered include:
-Develop activities that require analysis, reordering thinking, and students' creation of new knowledge.

-Utilize tools and explore a move to 1:1 computing after investigating pedagogy and logistics.
-Develop culturally relevant curricula.
-Narrow the achievement gap through the Supporting Struggling Students program, enrichment periods for intervention, and policies such as restorative justice for disciplinary issues.

LSC Election:
The results have been certified; the 2016-2018 Local School Council members are:
Student Rep.: Gloria Kevliciute (Student Rep.)
Faculty Reps.: Leslie Russell, Ben Walker

Staff Rep.: Ty Mulroy

Parent Reps.: Jeanne Lamar, Maura Robbins, Grace Shin, Dan Sullivan, Lauren Tatar, Etienne Veber

Community Reps.: Ed Marshall, Mary Young

The next LSC meeting is on June 8 at 6PM in the Payton Library. All meetings are open to the public. Please join us!
