Business students and marketing majors have learned about SWOT analysis. Every business has its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. At Walsh, we have a lot of strengths that make us unique in higher education and the reason why you, the student picked us to earned your degree.
If you took the Noel Levitz survey back in November you may recall ranking items that you were satisfied with and that you indicated were important to you. The following are topics that you were happy with.
Nearly all faculty are knowledgeable in their field
Most of our faculty members are actually working in the field. They have a career in the business world and share their knowledge and experiences with you. Having experienced faculty makes for great conversations in the classroom that focus on real-life business examples.
Great business school reputation/good reputation within community & commitment to academic excellence
Time and time again, we hear many students say they attend Walsh College because of its reputation. Maybe it is for the rigorous accounting program, or MST program that is ranked 14th in the country, or they heard from a family member or co-worker that it is a really good school.
Ability to complete registration tasks at one location Additional strengths under this category also included:
- Service provided at Records & Registration adequately meets student needs
- Able to register via PC, fax/registration processes are reasonable and convenient
- Major requirements are clear and reasonable
At Walsh, we pride ourselves on providing you excellent service. Everyone from the Admissions staff to the Receptionist treats you with respect, kindness, and is more than willing to help you.
Also, we try to make the registration process as easy and streamlined as possible. Class prerequisites are listed near the class on the registration packet and on WebAdvisor. There are multiple ways to register: online, faxing a form, or completing a registration in person.
Facilities up-to-date, clean and supportive of learning & classroom locations are safe and secureWalsh is continuing to make sure the facilities are modern, comfortable, and supportive of learning. We are so dedicated to making the physical environment better for students that the Troy campus is going through a renovation project. It includes an expansion of the existing building with communications lab, student lounge, and student services. Portions of the existing building have already or are undergoing a renovation. Projects include: the Testing Center, classrooms, cafeteria, lobby, and a new Mother's Room. For specific details on the renovations, visit

Walsh doesn't have a typical college environment. There are no dorms, lengthy hikes between classes, or multiple buildings on one campus. However, all three Walsh campuses provide you with a professional, safe and secure learning environment.
