It is 2013, a new year and a time for fresh beginnings! For some it is a time to set goals and resolutions. For others it is a time to evaluate their career goals and the progress they’ve made. Regular registration:  December 3 - January 13
Classes begin:  Now in progress
Last day to register or add:  January 13
Last day for 100% tuition refund:  January 14
Last day to drop classes/50% tuition refund:  January 21

Note:  Balances must be paid in full before registering.  Winter tuition is due January 22 to avoid the deferred fee.

Also, you can register your Walsh e-mail address for notification when classes are added or cancelled. An e-mail will be sent only when course changes have been made in the past 24 hours.  (This does not guarantee course availability at time of registration nor contain a list of open classes.)  Note:  The College’s official e-mail communication is via Walsh accounts. If you register using a non-Walsh e-mail, you will be asked to re-register.

2013-14 FAFSA Now Available
The 2013-2014 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. You will want to complete the 2013-2014 FAFSA if you plan to attend Walsh College anytime from Fall 2013 to Summer 2014. Undergraduate students who would like to be considered for financial assistance through the State of Michigan should complete their FAFSA by March 1. All others should have their FAFSA completed by June 1 for early consideration.

New Course!  IB 571 Management of Information Assurance in a World of Globalization
This course will provide students with an understanding of the international political context that serves as a backdrop to international business, and in the process will illuminate some of the modalities between international security concerns and the contemporary business world.  Click here for the complete description.

Sign Up for Electronic 1098-T Forms
You now have the option to sign up for an electronic 1098-T form.  To sign up or view:

Login to the Portal
Select "Financial Information" on the WebAdvisor tab under the Student Home page.
Select "1098 Electronic Consent" or "View My 1098-T Forms."

Elite 40 Under 40
Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson is looking to recognize the young thought-leaders and trail-blazers who live or work in Oakland County and are under the age of 40 (as of 2/6/2013). He will honor 40 young Oakland County professional and executive leaders who have achieved success and excellence in their field and community. The Elite 40 program is dedicated to helping these individuals make connections that can impact the future of Oakland County.

Crain's Detroit Business Newsmaker Scholarship
Crain’s Newsmaker presents a scholarship each year to an outstanding business student enrolled at a Southeast Michigan college or university. Click here for the criteria and application. The deadline for entry which includes a reference letter from the Dean’s office is Friday, February 1, 2013.

September graduates and December candidates are eligible to participate in the upcoming commencement ceremony.  If you are interested in attending, purchase your gown at the bookstore by January 21.

Master gowns:  $76.96 + tax
Doctoral gowns:  $522 + tax (purchase) or $152.98 + tax (rental)
