What an exciting way to start the New Year with a Rockmore Discovery, exhibition and article from another curator. We feel quite sure that as we raise the awareness this will keep happening.

We are still in Cape Cod and embracing another storm after yesterdays 1 degree start with no heat. If you don't call early for the heat guys during weather events like this you are going to have to wait. For some reason the forced air heat is on in the bedrooms so we are rightly not on the SUPER Emergency list. Still, I was in the pity party (it's cold, it's going to be expensive, why us?) and then I looked at these BRILLIANT photos in a "Sleepers" (Homeless people) Preview for a Show at Barristers Gallery that opens this Saturday at 6PM in New Orleans. Barristers' proprietor Andy Antippas was one of Rockmore & Larry Borenstein's closest friends and confidants. "Sleepers" by Robert Hannant in his own words "is pictures of people in New Orleans not at home shot on my phone from my moving bicycle mostly before eight in the morning."
Suddenly I did not feel so sorry for myself and for the 1st time I thought of all these folks in 27 degrees last night in NOLA or God forbid the people on Cape at 1 degree. Now that is a SUPER Emergency list of folks that needs to be on everyone's radar. Thank you Robert Hannant for getting that concept and sharing it with us. "There but for the grace of God go I."
