Greetings from New Orleans as we head into a major Rockmore Public Relations blitz from now through October. We will be trying to generate as much interest as we can while Rockmore is in 4 major Museums and on the Cover of two VERY important Art Magazines. There were 12 news articles in the last month that featured Rockmore, his artwork & Gypsy Lou Webb. Best of all, Shirley Marvin has enjoyed every minute of it and looks forward to meeting many of you in the next three weeks.
Sunday September 29th 2-4PM - Soft Closing at the LASM (Louisiana Arts & Science Museum) in Baton Rouge followed by a small get together afterwards from 4-6PM at the Capital City Grille (across the street) - Shirley, Rich & Tee Marvin will be there! This will be one of your last chances to see this many Masterpiece Rockmore's in person with the lady that saved them for the world. (*There is a $8 Admission for non LASM members!) Afterwards at the Capital City Grille, you can socialize, pick up your Art Rewards from the Kickstarter Project or 5th Grade Graduation Rewards for the EHS Class of 82. This is our big chance to meet people that we do not know in the BEST Quality Rockmore Exhibition that might ever be assembled! (Saints Game is Monday so no conflicts)
Sunday October 6th 2-4PM - Final Closing - * FREE Admission Day
We will do everything listed above again and admission is FREE at the Museum.
The GEFQ Kickstarter Book Project keeps moving along and we had the good fortune of delivering the Artwork Rewards to 3 of our Patron Sponsors on the way to New Orleans. We will deliver more Artwork Rewards throughout October in Louisiana, Houston, Dallas, Arkansas (Tyson Foods) before returning via Jackson MS and an interview with Bryant Allen (Bryant Galleries) widow, Doris Allen.

We will be putting together the storyboard for the "Our Journey to the Discovery of Rockmore" Book and then in November we will disappear from sight completely while we get the book printed and ready for mid December delivery. There are less than 100 of the signed, numbered limited First Edition books left and they are going fast! Send $40 to GEFQ, 3443 Esplanade Ave #607, New Orleans, LA, 70119 to reserve yours today or email us for other options including Catalog packages & Art Rewards.
There were times when we never thought we would make it to the next month, get a Museum show, get a news article, a Magazine article, a Magazine Cover, and Academic Artworld recognition in Shirley's lifetime while she could enjoy it. Thanks to all of you (and Shirley's longevity), all of those things have been accomplished. However, we are just half way up the ladder and with Shirley Marvin leading the charge we will just keep on climbing and reaching new heights.
We really hope we get to see you in person in the next month!
