| Top Hands Horse Show |
The weekend of February 15th through the 17th forty five SIRE riders from all three sites competed in the annual Top Hands Horse Show held at Reliant Arena. Our riders earned twenty one first place belt buckles, twenty two second place trophies and twenty third place trophies. Many, many thanks to all of the volunteers who put in long hours to make all of this happen.

2013 Birdies For Charity
|
Help spread the word about SIRE and also raise funds for our program by pledging a penny or more for each birdie made in the the 2013 Shell Houston Open! Guess the exact number of birdies for a chance at the grand prize. We have brochures available at all three sites. Take as many as you like and pass them around! Or you can pledge online or download the form. Don't wait to get started! The 2012 Shell Houston Open Birdies for Charity generated nearly six million dollars for local worthy causes. The deadline is March 25th which is when the PGA TOUR event begins at the Tournament Course at Redstone Golf Club.

| SIRE's Triple Crown Gala |
We're moving Uptown!
We're hosting our 30th Anniversary Gala at the lovely Galleria Westin Oaks Consort Ballroom. Another change is that we are moving months from May to
Saturday, April 20th.
There are many different ways you can join in the gala festivities now. You can identify potential sponsors and sponsorships to underwrite the gala's cost so that money raised from individual seat sales and the auctions can go straight to SIRE programs. Lots of room still exists for committee members. Please email us (committee chairs and staff) if you are interested in joining a committee. We are also looking for auction items such as professional services, a vacation home with some free weekends or a favorite business you would like others to try. Think of every place you like to go or everything you like to buy, especially those things you would love to receive as a gift or to splurge on. Then think of how much fun it would be to bid on such an item or win it at a discount, with all the money spent going to SIRE programs. That's what the gala auction is all about. Please email Bonnie Knowlton with your donations and ideas.
We are planning a spectacular night of fun and fundraising with our Triple Crown Gala including a reception with cocktail music, dinner and dancing, a silent auction, big board and live auction, special commemorative items for our 30th anniversary (think pearls) and so much
more. To mark Pat Roddy's years of volunteering and working for SIRE, most recently as managing director, we are recognizing Pat and her husband Bob Creasy as our honorary co-chairs. This very special night is a salute to years of hope and healing through therapeutic horseback riding and related equine assisted activities for thousands of Houston area children and adults with disabilities.
We hope you will join us in continuing the support of SIRE and hope to see you at the 30th Anniversary Triple Crown Gala.
For more information, to sponsor, underwrite and/or purchase individual tickets please click here.
