A Heartfelt Thank You
We lost our Old Dairy Barn on Sunday morning to a fire started by a lightning strike. It is an incredibly sad loss, but we were very fortunate that no animals or people were harmed. In the wake of the fire, we have received amazing support and sympathy from friends far and near. It means so much to us all. In response this outpouring, we have created a Resiliency Fund to honor the Barn and the lumber it held.

Celebrate the 38th Annual Harvest Festival
This Saturday, September 17, 10 am - 4 pm!
Music, performers, artisans, horse-drawn hayrides, and of course, delicious farm food will fill the day. Check our calendar for food vendor listings and performance schedules.

Of Land & Local: Water
In our fourth year in partnership with Burlington City Arts, the 2016 Of Land & Local series considers water and all it means to us. We talked to artist in residence, Michael Zebrowski about his installations on Lone Tree Hill, at the Coach Barn, and on Lake Champlain. The show runs Sept 29-Oct. 23.
Climate Change Education
What does "climate literacy" mean? And what does instruction around such a critical, yet sensitive issue like climate change look like? At our Education for Sustainability Institute this past summer, we supported teachers with concrete tools and frameworks to explore real-world problems like climate change with their students. Find out how.
Open Farm Week Sights & Sounds
This August, nearly 100 farms shared over 300 events during the 2nd annual Open Farm Week. It was a perfect chance for all Vermont farms to tell their stories and offer experiences to visitors. Follow staff member and event organizer Vera Simon-Nobes, as she visited farms across the state.
Forest to Furniture Program
Bring a piece of the Farm home during this weekend-long workshop, Saturday and Sunday, October 8 and 9. Use timber from the Farm's 400 acres of northern hardwood stands and softwood plantations of pine and spruce to create a one-of-a-kind piece of furniture. Register here.
