The work of a few exhibiting artists (L to R): Janis Sanders, Wendy Copp, Barry Underwood
We're excited to be collaborating with Burlington City Arts and the Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing on the state-wide art exhibition, "Of Land and Local." Designed to initiate a dialogue about issues surrounding the Vermont landscape, it will be presented at seven sites across the state, including the Coach Barn. "Artists and farmers are key components of our state's social and cultural fabric," BCA Curator DJ Hellerman says. "Artists search for new ways to question the world we live in to nourish our minds while farmers search for new ways to enrich the world we live in to nourish our bodies."

Returning to School with a Smile
Our Director of School Programs Linda Wellings received this note from a teacher who attended our Project Seasons for Early Educators Workshop. It's your support that helps inspire educators to shape a better world. Thank you.
Dear Linda,
As school opens the doors on a new educational year --- I bring with me the joy, wonder and inspiring spirit collected from our time together at Shelburne Farms in July. With open arms and heart you shared your wealth of knowledge, passion, time and beloved farm with compassion and respect.
I am renewed, refreshed and still smiling.

Enjoy the change of season. With gratitude,
Lisa Ingraham
An Inspiring Supporter

When Dahlia Ruben of Burlington, Vermont celebrated her 9th birthday, instead of receiving presents, she chose to donate to Shelburne Farms. Why? "Because I love the environment and you help the environment." Read about her birthday plan and the rest of her reasons for giving in her letter to us. Each gift to the Farm has a story behind it, and we appreciate each and every one of them. Thanks, Dahlia, and to each of you.
