I am going to ask a favor of all of you. This is something I thought I would ever do but I need your prayers. My sister's husband Gene has been diagnosed with liver cancer. Luanne has had much sadness in her life. She lost a son to SIDs and her other son in a car accident; there are more losses but the story is long. Please pray for them.

I hope you are all doing well.

Skin exposed to bitter cold temperatures and high winds is at risk for frostbite.  Nose, cheeks, chin, fingers and toes are the most affected areas.  It is extremely important to dress appropriately during the winter months.  Frostbite can occur as quickly as 5 - 10 minutes when wind chills are negative degrees.

Heating equipment is one of the leading causes of home fires in the winter months.  Whether used indoors or outdoors, portable fireplaces can be dangerous.  If not used properly, the fuel and open flame pose a serious fire hazard.  Here are a
few tips for staying safe while using heating equipment.
