The SHOC fund was established to provide cafeteria vouchers as short-term assistance to students who are going through an emergency related to lack of food and whose health and academic performance is being affected by hunger.

The Short Notice Aid for Verifiable Emergencies (SAVE) fund was established to assist students with unforeseen non-academic emergencies related to housing, childcare, transportation and utilities to help students stay in school.

The NSCC Foundation raises funds for scholarships from private, business and corporate donors. Awards are made based on exceptional circumstances, financial need, academic merit, field of study and geographical location. More than $2.4 million have been awarded since 1985.
