Don't Miss Piper Kerman on May 29
Get your tickets now for Piper Kerman's May 29 talk. Kerman is the author of the memoir Orange is the New Black: My Year in a Women's Prison. The book has been adapted into a Peabody Award-winning original series for Netflix. Kerman serves on the board of the Women's Prison Association and is a frequently invited speaker to students of law, criminology, gender and women's studies, sociology, and creative writing. She received the 2014 Justice Trailblazer Award from the John Jay College Center on Media, Crime and Justice. Visit the Foundation website for tickets.

DPL Foundation Receives Tourism Grant
The DPL Foundation received a generous $11,000 grant from the Bend Cultural Tourism Commission's first round of grant awards. The grant was awarded to the Library Foundation's Author! Author! literary series to host renowned author Timothy Egan in October. Egan's best-selling biography, Short Nights of the Shadow Catcher: The Epic Life and Immortal Photographs of Edward Curtis, has focused fresh attention on photographer Curtis' work. More information about Egan's visit is coming soon! The Foundation is grateful for the Commission's generous support.
