Spray it, don't spread it
NYGH's Infection Prevention and Control expert Dr. Kevin Katz talks about the nasal spray flu vaccine for children and teens.
Each fall season, parents across the country battle with their young children to sit still while they get the flu shot. This year, Ontario is offering children and teens between the ages of two and 17 a pain-free nasal spray flu vaccine option, at no cost, so your family can stay protected during flu season without the fight. For those who don't mind the stick, flu shots are still available for children.

North York General Hospital's Infection Prevention and Control expert, Dr. Kevin Katz, tells us why the nasal spray is more effective for children and teenagers and answers parents' questions.
