A Code Blue is a signal there is a patient in severe medical distress.

"Attention, Attention, Attention, Code Blue, 4 West..."

To our hospital team, it's a signal  that there is a patient in severe medical distress and they must act quickly. Every second counts.

Cathie Badeau, Director of the Maternal Newborn Program, and Chair of our Code Blue and Code Pink Committee, explains what happens during these calls to action.
