 The Year Was 1989

On Saturday, May 6th, 1989 someone set fire to Lank Oil Companys yard in Martin County, destroying a building and all its contents.  Later that night another fire was set at the Lank Oil yard in Pompano.  This destroyed six vehicles, including 4 fuel tankers.  The case remains unsolved.

The summer of 1989 would thus be the most expensive driving season in four years. Already, the report said, unleaded regular at self-serve stations now averages $1.13 a gallon-up 18 cents a gallon from last Memorial Day`s price of 95 cents a gallon.

Waterway Soiree Benefiting The Children's Diagnostic & Treatment Center

On May 30th, 2015 The Inaugural Waterway Soiree was held at Bahia Mar Marina.  The event featured VIP dinners on yachts, a red carpet reception on the docks and an Intercoastal cruise and cocktail party aboard the Grand Floridian.  The event also

featured well known local celebrities such as Ryan Tannehill and Julie Durda.  This wonderful new event benefited The Children's Diagnostic & Treatment Centers.  For more information on their programs Click Here!
