Bowling Challenge

On March 25, 2015 Lank Oil hit the bowling alley at Strikes in Boca Raton. The team consisted of Marybeth Linne, Bill Lank, Margarita Michel, Ted Linne, Debbie Linne & Kristene Lundblad. One practice and one real game were played. They may not have been the highest scoring team but they definitely had a lot of fun an look forward to trying again next year!

The Marine Industry Cares Spinathon 2015

The Ft. Lauderdale Mariners Club was happy to sponsor The Marine Industry Cares Spinathon again this year. The event took place on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Esplanade Park in Ft. Lauderdale. The team consisted of Sandy Hoekstra, Debbie DeBrocq, Aimee Hoalt, Kristene Lundblad, Laura Sherrod & Jonathan Dunleavy. It was a beautiful day for the event and fun was had by all attendees.

The Real Meaning...

Propeller - A metal thing that looks like a fan and is attached to your motor. Propellers typically do not have the same number of blades they came with. The propeller is a dual-purpose item. It both propels your boat through the water and catches stray dock and rigging lines before they can harm wildlife.

Rock - These are devices used to remove rudders from boats. Also what your boat does just after you fill all your glasses to the brim with port.

Sailboat Race - Two or more sailboats headed in approximately the same direction.

Through-the-hull fitting - A leak.

Topsides - The part of the boat that is not in the water. Also what you should not be caught looking at if you are a married male.
