Address Changes
Have you moved? Does Aurora Public Schools have a current address on file for you? If not, you will need to visit Centralized Admissions (no appointment necessary) to complete the "Student Demographic Change" form. You must bring current ***proof of address and a photo I.D. with you

Vision and Hearing Screenings
On Wednesday, December 11th, we will be doing hearing and vision screenings for all 9th grade students and all other students new to APS only. We ask that students who have prescription eyeglasses make sure to bring them to school on this day.

Attention Senior Families

The Vista Peak Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) information night will be held on December 12th from 5:30 to 6:30pm.  Please call or e-mail the Counseling Department if you would like attend.

Canned Food Drive
Student Council will be doing a canned food drive from 12/9-12/17 in student's first periods for the Food Bank of the Rockies. The first period with the most nonperishable items will win a breakfast party after winter break.

 

Safe Driving

Student council, along with Officer Palacio and Children's hospital will be hosting a no texting and driving campaign this week 12/9-12/13. Kay Jenner, a representative from Children's hospital, will be at lunch on 12/10 with pledges student can sign promising safe driving practices.

Finals Schedule
As we come to the end or our 1st semester classes will be holding finals the last 2 days of school before winter break. It is imperative that students attend their finals at the given times. Please note these 2 days will be considered half days and lunch will not be served. Buses will make their normal stops in the mornings and drop off earlier in the afternoons. Please see full finals schedule below.
Students who will not be able to make either day will need to fill out a Finals Waiver Form. All forms are due to the main office by December 16th.

Dance Performance
Come join the Vista Peak Dance Class for their Winter Dance Performance Monday, December 16 from 6-7pm.  Students will be performing several dance styles at this first semi-annual event.  Admission is free.

Craft Fair

Craft Fair on Saturday, December 14 from 9am to 3pm in the Gym.  We have a variety of crafters from food to homemade Christmas ornaments to scarves, purses, dog treats and dog accessories.  You won't want to miss this!!!!  Bring a friend and enjoy a chance to do some holiday shopping!

Yearbook
This may be your last chance to get a yearbook!  If you do not pre-order your yearbook by December 19th, the remaining stock will be sold on a first-come-first served basis.  $35.00 before December 19th guarantees that you have this unique piece of Vista Peak history forever.  Payment plans can be worked out, and for as little as $10.00 your pre-order can be guaranteed.  Payment must be made to the bookkeeper, Mrs. Mclellan, by the end of the school day on December 19th.  Don't miss out!  Any questions please contact Mr. Bakersky at

ATTENTION PARENT/GUARDIANS OF SENIORS:  The deadline for submitting senior pictures, senior quotes, and purchasing custom space has been extended to December 15.  All picture and quote submissions should be sent to  vistapeakyearbook@gmail.com with your seniors last name and first name in the subject line (Last name_First name).  Custom space can be purchased in the following sizes: Whole page ($140.00)  ½ page ($100.00) or ¼ page ($50.00).  Payment must be made to the bookkeeper Mrs. McLellan NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 15.  Pictures and text can be emailed to  vistapeakyearbook@gmail.com, or you can drop a hard copy off at the school.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mr. Bakersky.

 

 

Athletics

 

Winter Sports Pass 

Winter Sport Passes are available in the athletics office.  For just $35 you can attend all home boys and girls basketball games.  Makes a great gift to give to a family member or friend!

Parents Holiday Shopping Day

Do you need some time to yourself to get some holiday shopping done? The Poms team will be providing child care for elementary school aged children from 1-4pm on Saturday December 14th at the Exploratory building. The charge is $15 for one child and $10 for any additional children. We will also be providing gift wrapping for $3 so bring any unwrapped gifts!

 
Jazz Band Performance

The VP jazz band has been invited to perform at the esteemed Dazzle Restaurant & Lounge.  We would love to have families join them for this unique opportunity.  The group was invited by a VP parent who attended the last concert and was blown away by our kids and their abilities.  Please join us!

Talent Show
Our Annual Talent Show will be January 31.  Tryouts for the show will be held January 21-23.  Start thinking about what you will perform.  All acts must be fully prepared by tryouts! We look forward to a variety of acts this year!  If you have any questions or concerns, please seek one of your Junior Class Representatives.
