October Count
Each year Aurora Public Schools must provide the State of Colorado an official count of how many students are enrolled in our schools. This number determines how much funding each school gets. The state will look at the number of students attending classes from Tuesday, Sept. 24 through Tuesday, October 8.
Tuesday, October 1 is the key student count day. Please help us ensure that all our students are accurately counted by having your child in school that day. If your child must be absent on Oct. 1, please call our attendance line at 303.326.1662.

School Performance
For the second year in a row...VP PREP was designated as a PERFORMANCE school. The Colorado growth model gives schoolsdesignations: TURNAROUND...PRIORITY IMPROVEMENT...IMPROVEMENT...or PERFORMANCE. Vista PEAK PREP was one of the first High Schools in APS to ever achieve this rating. VP PREP earned more points from the growth model than any other high school in APS on our three year school performance framework, so for the first time we can see what it feels like to be at the PEAK! From the bottom to the top after two years of implementation of our Innovation Plan...WOW! We want to thank each and every one of our parents and teachers for their hard work with our young Bison. Also, students and families should soon receive a color copy of their students overall academic achievement as determined by the TCAP assessment.
