GM REPORT
Thank you to all the members who came to the Club to relax and to enjoy their Memorial Day holiday!
Thanks to each of our Department Directors who did a terrific job of organizing all of the special events for the day. In addition to fun events in Tennis and Fitness, the highlights were the new Wibits (the obstacle course in the main pool) and the cuisine prepared by Food and Beverage Director, Jameson Miller and his team.
CHILD SUPERVISION AT THE CLUB
Just a friendly reminder regarding the Café and patio areas: we appreciate parents watching their kids and making sure they are following Club rules. In addition, Club staff will be walking the Café areas to offer friendly reminders.

RACKET COLLECTION - A NOTE OF THANKS FROM THE TENNIS COMMITTEE
If you came across an unused tennis racquet in your spring cleaning, and it found its way to the TPC racquet collection for the Youth Tennis Advantage, we send you hearty thanks. We also want to express our gratitude to Jerry and Curtis and all of the tennis staff for their support of this effort. The 38 racquets, which were collected in the bin in the Club reception area, will go to some young people who couldn't otherwise afford this equipment and who will now have the opportunity to learn and to love a life-long sport.
A little history.... Jerry Pang has twice been the President of The National Junior Tennis League, founded by Arthur Ashe and Charlie Pasarell. Eventually, the NJTL merged with the Youth Tennis Foundation and the current Youth Tennis Advantage was created. This valuable group serves inner city kids in San Francisco, Oakland, and Richmond. Tutoring, as well as tennis, is another recent addition to the exciting program.
This year we contributed 38 racquets to YTA. Can we make that 76 racquets in 2017? You bet we can!!!!!

MEMORIAL DAY FAMILY TENNIS
TPC members had a great time out on the courts with their children on Memorial Day. Many of our junior players are just wrapping up their USTA season and this event was a wonderful opportunity for parents to participate with them to see how much they have improved.
Matt Estes and son JB won the Challenge Court event, Scott Miller and son won the Orange Ball Round Robin and Brewster Carroll and son Wyatt won the Green Ball Round Robin.
Thank you to all who participated and to Michael Friedman who ran the Orange and Green Ball event.
JUNIOR SECTIONALS AT STANFORD
Congratulations to Emma Pell who captured her first 12/u Open Singles title in Livermore a week ago. Emma has worked really hard on her tennis in the past 18 months and had to overcome the #1 and #2 seed en route to her title. Her dedication, wonderful attitude on and off the court, and willingness to go the extra mile in her training have all contributed to the amazing strides evident in her performance.
Well done Emma, keep up the good work!
