GENERAL MANAGER REPORT

Dear TPC Members,

With the Holiday Season quickly approaching, we ask that you remember and recognize our Club employees by making a contribution to the TPC Employees' Holiday Fund. This fund gives you an opportunity to recognize the staff, many of whom work behind the scenes, and strive to provide you and your family a safe, clean and memorable experience each time you visit the Club.

For reference, here is a table that illustrates the prior six years of fund contributions:

YearTotal Member Contribution% of Members Contributing to FundAverage Gift to Employee FundAverage Gift as % of Annual DuesAverage Gift per Employee
2009$10,294.0018%$692.9%$161
2010$14,754.0021%$863.7%$238
2011$23,378.0029%$954.0%$377
2012$18,164.0022%$984.0%$349
2013$ 25,810.0021%$1375.2%$409
2014$ 31,890.0028%$1284.8%$549

To contribute to the Holiday Fund, go to http://www.tiburonpc.org/employee-holiday-fund/.

Comparable to all prior years, the General Manager does not participate in the Employee Holiday Fund distribution. Last year, 58 full and part time employees participated in the Holiday Fund. Thank you for considering a contribution, and on behalf of the staff at the TPC, we wish you and your family the best of the upcoming Holiday Season.

BACK LAWN AREA

Please note the back lawn area behind the patio will be closed for a minimum of two weeks starting on Monday, December 14. Due to the drought, and the optimistic forecast for a wet winter, the lawn area will be aerated and reseeded.

CAFE MINIMUM

The Café Food and Beverage Minimum is $200 every six months. The time periods are January 1 to June 30 and July 1 to December 31.

* Please note the Café closes for the holiday season between December 21 and January 4 and will reopen January 5.

LOST AND FOUND

One black "Specialized" bicycle has been left at the Club for longer than normal. If you own this bicycle, please come by the Club and pick it up by Sunday, December 20th or it will be donated.

AQUATICS

The Swim Team finished up its Fall racing season with the Junior Olympics in Morgan Hill this past weekend. The kids swam with such courage and vigor amidst very strong competition from the best in Pacific Swimming. From TPC we had some great swimming from Nicholas Mahabir (a new Record Board Swim in the 100 Breast) and Max Matthews (9 swims, 9 finals and multiple record board swims including a Team Record in the 50 Back). Nice job boys! Full results can be found HERE.

The record board will be updated after this upcoming weekend's Speedo Junior Nationals in Austin, where there are sure to be a few more Top Tuna Times!

TPC 1st ANNUAL WINTER CLASSIC JUNIOR
TENNIS TOURNAMENT

Saturday morning saw the kickoff to the 1st Winter TPC junior tennis tournament down on the lower courts. Players were excited to get out there and compete in the early morning chill taking no time in heating up the action. Luke Tusher overcame Cameron Ehsan in the first round and David Tierney in the second round in one of the closest contested matches of the day. Luke prevailed 9-8 in games and 10-8 in the tiebreaker.

JB Estes had a very strong performance in beating Cole McIntyre in the first round and with another upset of the day ousted Jack Eilers in his next round.Sophia Prieto came out the victor against Tyler Achuck and Charlie Young had too much to handle against Emma Pell. Next weekend will see the semis and finals take place.

  • In the A- Flight: Charlie Young vs JB Estes and Luke Tusher vs Sophia Prieto
  • In the B- Flight: Luc Poulin vs Brooke Estes and Jackson Bramlette vs Charlie Bohner

Congratulations to all players who have participated so far. We have seen some players play in their very first tournament and gain valuable experience that will surely assist them in learning how to compete and have a great time doing it.

Good luck in the next rounds!
