Members of the Tennis Committee set up a booth on Friday night to promote our upcoming Challenger. It was a lot of fun and we had a wonderful response from the children signing up to be ball kids and volunteers stepping up to assist with the many positions that need to be filled.
We are still in need of additional housing volunteers. If anyone is willing to provide a bed and a bathroom for a tournament official or a player, please contact Kim Logie at kimlogie2000@yahoo.com.
Inter-Club Tennis Social with Harbor Point at TPC
After some welcome rain on Saturday morning, the condition cleared up for a great round robin social event with Harbor Point. A total of 28 players from TPC and Harbor Point combined to make the event a huge success. There was a ton of tennis and a lot of fun was had with players from both clubs mixing and matching for doubles and mixed doubles matches.

New Hire - Campbell Johnson
We're excited to announce the hiring of our new pro, Campbell Johnson. Campbell will be heading up the Junior Development at the TPC. Campbell's passion lies in teaching. He is an outstanding player, brings the highest level of integrity and workmanship to his craft and is an extremely valuable addition to the TPC.
Campbell Johnson Bio
Born in Michigan, Campbell quickly moved to California at an early age. He grew up in Rancho Santa Fe CA, 1 of 5 siblings. 4 out of 5 members of Campbell's family played Division 1 college tennis.
As a junior tennis player, Campbell pursued the ITF tour and was ranked as high as 77 in the world boys 18 and Under. During his first two years of college he played for the University of Georgia where his team finished in the Top 5 in the country both years and were SEC Champions as well.
Missing California and wanting to be a little closer to home, Campbell transferred to the University of California Berkeley where his college career took a turn for the best. In his junior year, he played #1 doubles and #3 singles competing in the NCAA individual singles and doubles event, being the only Cal Bear to compete in both events that year. He earned Pac 12 doubles team of the year with my partner Chris Konigsfedlt. He also earned the Pac 12 "newcomer of the year" award and the "Northwest Regional Player to watch" award.
In his senior year, Campbell played #2 singles for the Bears and was ranked as high as 40th in the country. During his last year at UC Berkeley, he was the Undergraduate Assistant Coach while finishing up his sociology degree. Post-Graduation he has been an intern for the USTA Player Development program working under coaches that have coached some of the current top American professional players.
