GENERAL MANAGER REPORT
NEW FOOD AND BEVERAGE DIRECTOR
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce our new Food and Beverage Director, Bren Boyd. Bren is a Certified Executive Chef through the American Culinary Federation and has been a recipient of several cooking awards. He brings a vast variety of experience owning his own restaurant in the East Bay, Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Director at the Running Creek Casino and former Chef with the Bon Appetite Catering Company. Please introduce yourself to Bren when you meet him and welcome him to the TPC.
BANK REFINANCE
Last week the Club refinanced our loan with Wells Fargo Bank. Our previous loan was with First Republic Bank which was a 15/15 (term and amortization) at 5.35%. Our new loan with Wells Fargo is an 11/11 (term and amortization) at 4%. Our annual savings with our new loan will be approximately $20,000 per year which will be used to bolster TPC's capital reserves ahead of member-approved projects.
EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS TO MEMBERS
We feel that keeping our members informed is a top priority and find that sending an email is the quickest way to reach our entire membership. However, we also realize that not every member wants or needs to receive every email. For example, a member who only plays tennis may have no interest in knowing that the South Pool is closed. We want to continue keeping our membership informed but want to do so in a less intrusive manner. Within the next few weeks we will be sending an email to you that will allow you to 'opt-out' of emails related to an area of the Club you are not involved with.
2015 TIBURON CHALLENGER
I would like to speak on behalf of the 2015 USTA Pro Challenger event this year. Our dates have been advanced to September 26 through October 4. IN Prior years, the previous three weeks of the Northern California swing started in Napa, Sacramento and Tiburon. The Napa group has pulled out this year and we have moved up to the first slot which should mean better weather for our tournament! Tennis Director, Brendan Curry will be following up with more information shortly.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE MINIMUM
Last April, the members votes and approved a Food and Beverage Minimum of $200 every six months with deadlines of June 30 and December 31. Members are reminded that they can check their most recent bills or log-on to the TPC website to view their account to see the status of their spending at the Club for any given period.
DROP-OFF AND PICK UP
Parents are reminded not to pick up their children in front of the Club, particularly in the cross walk, but rather at the roundabout across the street. Staff has been reminding kids not to climb and jump on our new furniture in the Café, patio and poolside, and parents are encouraged to keep an eye on their kids. Thank you.
Till next week,
Jerry Pang General Manager

AQUATICS
The Angry Tuna were in fine form this past Saturday as they hosted the Rafael racquet club and Montclair in the season's lone home tri-meet. Over 150 swimmers from the 3 teams competed in a fun-filled, high-energy meet. Highlights were the relays at the beginning and end of the meet, as well as many nail-biting close races. For complete results, click here.
Great fun racing the Marlins and Montclaire! Thanks to everyone who came out and supported.
