GENERAL MANAGER REPORT

2015 TIBURON CHALLENGER: OCTOBER 10 - 18

I have been handling communications with the USTA for the 2015 Challenger during the past few months. Last week, I handed off the reigns to our Tennis Director, Brendan Curry. Our event has been moved back one week this year and will be held October 10 - 18!

CAFE UPDATE

Interim Food and Beverage Director, Travis Callison had a great BBQ last weekend. This weekend, we will either have another BBQ or a limited menu if the Café approvals go through, as anticipated. We will send an email alert once permit approvals have been received.

OUTREACH TO MEMBERS

Staff Directors will be reaching out to the membership by telephone during the next week. We want to reach out, see how you are doing and to check to see if we can help you with any questions regarding the Club or our programs.

New BOG Member, Capucine Hoybach

Earlier this year, the Board of Governors (BOG) received a resignation from one of its members to pursue a business opportunity. During the past few weeks, the Nominating Committee consisting of Ken Brakebill, Nancy Shapiro, and Isolde Wilson has met with potential candidates to fill this vacancy. At the last BOG meeting, Ms. Capucine Hoybach was elected to serve the remaining term of office.

Originally from Santa Barbara, Capucine moved to Tiburon in 2008 with her husband and daughter, Michelina (now 7). Since then, their family has grown to include sons, Valen (5) and Mosher (3). Prior to moving to Tiburon, Capucine spent 13 years in New York City where she pursued a career in publishing and public relations. Capucine and Andrew also lived in Paris, France for two years.

Capucine is a graduate of the University of Southern California where she competed, for four years, on the Division I women's variety volleyball team on a full athletic scholarship. Capucine was on the Dean's List and graduated with a BA from the Annenberg School of Communications.

Capucine and her family enjoy numerous aspects of the TPC. Most recently, Capucine took up teaching both adult and children's yoga classes at the Club.

Have a great week!

AQUATICS

GOODBYE WINTER - HELLO SPRING SESSIONS!

As winter ends for the swim teams, we had a couple meets in great weather this past week.

The Junior Team was in action this past Wednesday, and will have their last meet of the winter session this Thursday. It is great to see such vibrant energy and great swimming around the South Pool. The team cheer is still echoing through the Tiburon hills...

The regular Team was at the Rafael Racquet Club this past weekend (in surprisingly nice weather!), and will be up in Napa this coming weekend.

Both regular and junior teams begin their spring sessions on March 16. Spring forms are available at the front desk or online.

Good Luck and GO TUNA!!!!!!!!!!
