GENERAL MANAGER REPORT
TPC BIDS FAREWELL TO SCOTT POTTHAST
I would like to start by acknowledging our outgoing Tennis Director, Scott Potthast who will work his last day at TPC this Thursday. As most of you know, Scott and his family have moved to Sacramento where he is reviewing job options at this time. Scott has done a terrific job since his tenure started in 2008 - he ran a well-balanced program and kept the Tennis Department fiscally sound. Scott will be at the Tiburon Lodge on Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7 pm for those who would like to wish him well. You may also drop him a note at Scottp@tiburonpc.org. Scott, we will all miss you here at the TPC!
CAFE RENOVATIONS UPDATE
The Café project is progressing, even with the rain interruptions that we experienced a couple of weeks ago. Kitchen equipment is being installed in the back of the house; the hardwood floors are being sanded and stained in the Clubhouse and conference room. The kitchen work will be completed, but a variety of inspections will need to take place so we anticipate an early February opening due to the approval process. Our "interim" Food and Beverage Director Travis Callison has been working hard with coordination with our menu and staff planning.
STEAM ROOMS
Our steam rooms, particularly the women's steam room, have not been functioning up to par and we apologize. We ordered a new steam generator system last week and are working on temporary fixes while we wait on a new system in the next few weeks.

TENNIS
Well........it's come that time for me to sign off. After spending 12 years at TPC, I look back at an incredible experience that I wouldn't trade for anything. The Club has come a very long way in these 12 years. I remember the days of it being a trailer with virtually no social fabric then to see it change into what we see today is truly remarkable. I've had the pleasure of working along side some fantastic people during my tenure. It's these people that make a workplace so enjoyable!. We've had some fun times and special memories over the years. Trips to Hawaii, Canada and of course the challenger. I would like to thank the TPC members for allowing me to be your tennis director and I only wish the best for this club. Thank you all!
So long.............but no goodbye.

NEW ZUMBA CLASS
Drop into the Fitness Center and try our NEW Zumba classes with instructor, Merris Delane:
Zumba Basics: Thursdays, 10:30 - 11:30 am
Zumba: Saturdays, 9:30 - 10:30 am
Merris Delane has enjoyed a lifetime of varied dance from jazz, ballet and tap dancing as a child, to cheerleading while attending high school at the American School of Paris. Merris instantly fell in love with Zumba in 2011 when she discovered that this exhilarating and fun workout allowed her to dance as if having a night out at the clubs with her husband of over 11 years, without avoiding the sleep she desperately needed to take care of her two, young children in the mornings! Merris took becoming a Zumba instructor so seriously that she chose to be trained by none other than Gina Grant; one of the people who helped Beto found Zumba back in Florida!
She has also taken countless classes with other instructors in Northern and Southern California to pick up styles and moves from the best and now she wants to bring the fun to TPC!
Merris also spent several years performing stand-up comedy at local clubs in the Bay Area and in Seattle, where she and her husband lived before returning to their preferred lives in Tiburon. Prepare for some silly humor while getting a serious workout that includes fun dance moves to provide cardio and toning, with a "latest hits" playlist including Latin, Bollywood and even a little country!
