Major news in the ballet world today as 32-year-old superstar dancer Misty Copeland was named the first black principal ballerina at the American Ballet Theatre. She is the first female to earn the title in the prestigious dance company's 75-year history. It is position Copeland has openly aspired to since she joined the company in 2001.
