Charles White, Jr. was born on April 2, 1918 to Ethel Gary and Charles White Sr. on the South Side of Chicago.
He discovered at an early age that he could draw. Often described as a Social Realist artist, White's works are largely devoted to monumental prints and murals eloquently documenting the universality of humanity through the portrayal of Black America

Scottish-born and Toronto-based, MICHAEL DANSO comes from a Show Business family. His mother, PINKIE MACKENZIE, sang with all the top musical organizations such as The Leslie Hutchinson Orchestra and The Billy George Trio when they toured Great Britain, and Michael first sang onstage with her at the age of 5, with The BERTIE KING BAND. By age 9, Michael was touring with his own group of girls, under the name WEE MAXIE AND HIS LASSIES.
